If you define an initial value for a global/local variable which has length longer than editor-view size then it is invisible on event sheet!

For instance if you define a global text variable with 100 or more chars then you will not see this string on event sheet.

Umm, I'm afraid I don't quite understand this: when you have an event in the event sheet it displays the NAME of the event; do you mean that a text object with a long name isn't displaying?

Event variables are only supposed to show on one line. You can always edit the text by editing the variable again. I can change this if you like, but I don't imagine it's actually a serious problem?
