  • hi guys alright so i recently bought a video card "NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT

"and works normally on the PC, but when I open Construct 2 and put some effect on objects and I click Run to test the PC screen just gets all blurred and Construct 2 closes alone I can not understand what is happening, my card is with updated drives follows the bug

    Javascript error!

    TypeError: webGL_texture is null

    http: // localhost: 50000 / glwrap.js, line 2186 (col 3)

This may be a bug in Construct 2 or a third party plugin or behavior - please report it to the developer following the bug report guidelines. Subsequent errors will be logged to the console.

  • Your video card is nearly 14 years old. If you have the newest video card driver and it doesn't work, I would guess that the card is to old for shader effects.

I didn't know that, I try to update the drivers on the Nvidia panel but it says "No updates available"

do i have to change video card?

  • do i have to change video card?

I can't and won't guarantee that will help, but if you use at least Windows 7 and use the newest FireFox or Chrome for preview then I think is it possible.

  • It looks like there is a problem with the video card. I would at first look if there is a newer video card driver. Go to https://www.geforce.com/drivers (Search with GeForce, GeForce 7 Series, Windows 8). I don't find a driver for Windows 8.1 only for 8 (32 or 64 Bit). Don't know if it works for 8.1.

  • That is truly ancient hardware. This is surely a graphics driver (or hardware?) issue, so closing.

I did everything I tried to update the drivers to the latest version and nothing could solve, had to put an end to the video card but in front I will buy a new and more modern.
