may it be bad question and i no see how can be this used. (i see only demo not capx ) any idea for this rex?

The patterns(eggs) could be items or enemies. For example, there are "A"x3 , "B"x2, "C"x1

-> there is 3/6 "A", 2/6 "B", 1/6 "C".

This Capx was to generate 10 numbers from 2 to 40 without repeating.

Add pattern count

Sample capx

Call "Action:Add pattern" to increase or decrease pattern count, it also affects remain patterns. i.e. unpicked patterns.

Retrieve patterns

Use "Condition:For each pattern" to retrieve each pattern in a for each loop. It has 4 sorting methods, sorting by pattern name in ascending/descending order, or sorting by total pattern count in ascending/descending order.Get pattern name by "Expression:CurPatternName", total pattern count by "Expression:CurPatternTotalCount", and remain pattern count by "Expression:CurPatternRemainCount". The loop index in this for each loop is "Expression:LoopIndex".

Suggestion: multiple pattern groups

Right now it's only possible to generate one sequence of patterns, but it would be really cool to be able to define multiple pattern groups and retrieve patterns from them.

Example:

pattern group 1: "red" = 1; "green" = 1; "blue" = 1; "yellow" = 1; mode Shuffle

pattern group 2: "red" = 5; "green" = 10; "blue" = 1; "yellow" = 1; mode Random

pattern group 3: "red" = 1; "green" = 10; "blue" = 1; "yellow" = 3; mode Shuffle

etc.

Right now in order to achieve that you have to manually import PatternGen plugin for each group

You might add multiple pattern gen objects into project, or create them at runtime.

Oh, didn't think about creating them on runtime.

I tried to use 2 patternGen objects with the same random seed to generate same patterns for multiplayer game with a split screen, but the second patternGen does not generate the same pattern. Bug or feature?

Fix bug of assigning random gen object.

It is a bug. Now you could download this plugin again. Moreover, you should assign different/dedicated random gen object for each pattern gen object.
