drawing canvas with mouse

hi

i want to know if there is a way to draw canevas by mouse , because adding block by block is difficult and time consuming

if i can hold the mouse and draw on the background it would be nice and time saving

Do you mean in the layout editor, or in a game?

In the editor I will sometimes make a sprite the size of the window, and sketch my design onto it, so I can get an idea of where I will be arranging things. However I don't like images that big in the final game because they take so much memory on mobile devices.

If you mean in game, I would recommend the Canvas plugin.

thanks for your reply, but being a total newbie, i want to set an image as background for my game on which there a path for a car race for example.

how can i draw the path for my car on canvas? when straight its easy, i just add blocks , but when it is curved , its not , how to proceed please?

Well, a new update came out since posting that, that has added tilemaps to Construct2. It may offer what you are looking for. I haven't installed it yet, but the description mentions drawing directly on the tiles.
