  • This update was the one that made me happiest in recent months with the engine, being able to use the power of Webview 2 in desktop projects with native plugins for the stores is spectacular, even opening up the possibility of publishing on Xbox, which makes me very excited about the future of the engine.

In the past, there was a similar approach, on Android, it was necessary to add Cordova Crosswalk, which was literally the chromium engine with the project, resulting in apk that initially started at 30mb, something that 10 years ago was a huge problem for many users, it was then that a technology emerged that used only the application and shared the engine that was installed on Android, it's been a long time, I don't remember the perfect details now, the fact is, with the popularity of technology, the method of always adding the chromium engine to applications was retired.

Webview 2 is of course the evolution.
