Wow, amazing updates lately! Quick but super useful addition to the hierarchy system would be to add visibility to the children hierarchy options. Which makes the children automatically set the same visibility as the parent. Would love to see that in the next update :)
Editor hierarchy setup is a great addition! I really hope it will be possible in the future to setup a character or objects in the editor and assign the whole hierarchy a tag or something. And then at runtime be able to spawn the whole "tag" where relative positions and everything spawns in just as it was setup in the editor. That would be super powerful and make characters and UI so much easier to make and remove the need for a ton of events :D
1. Create a hierarchy in editor and assign a tag
2. Creating the tag at runtime will spawn parent object and all children and positions everything the same way it is setup in the editor.
So it functions like a more powerful container where you can use multiple instances of the same object as children and setup child positions relative to parent right in the editor.
Anyway, keep up the great work!
This is a great start for someone like me who is working in Unity a lot and really miss prefabs in C3. Getting the possibility to set up scene graphs from the editor is something I really look forward to. One thing I miss currently is to be able to set a container created child to parent image point. So you can set positions up within a single action when an object with children is spawned in at runtime.
Yes, seems like later nwjs versions corrupts the project upon saving sometimes. I'm also unable to open some projects saved in nwjs 46.2+ (Desktop app)
Ah, it doesn't work anymore on older nwjs versions. So updated to the latest one and now right clicking works again.
Is it just me or can't you right click inside event sheets in the latest version to include other event sheets and such?
Thanks for adding the destroy with parent feature I asked about in the last update. Much appreciated! I have one more awesome pin feature I forgot to mention that I would really love to see as well:
Pin Z-order, where you can select if the pinned object should be pinned behind parent object or infront.
That would help a ton for games that are z-sorting objects where pinned object sortings gets messed up. So with this feature it is enough to just sort the parent object :D
Nice to see the pin behaviour get some love. But I really think "destroy with parent" should be added as a property as well. You almost always want to destroy a pinned object when the parent is destroyed, so would be a nice addition as well. That is why i use the Pin+ plugin. Just a nice to have instead of taking care of it with an extra event :)
elbrolio Thank you. I totally agree. I've actually fixed that so the skulls won't disappear anymore :) It will be included in the next update.
Kakoups Haha, glad to hear that 😊 Thank you for playing
liquidmetal Yes, I made it that way so people could read it in their own pace. Are you sure about the controls? They work fine on all my computers as long as you don't sprint because then you jump too high :) But I made the jump easier anyway. The tutorial shouldn't be so hard so that was a good point. I uploaded a new version you can try if you got time. Thank you very much for the feedback :D
