  • I've implemented another workaroung, basically i've created a second sprite attached to the player (who has the sine), this Sprite follows the same movements of the player sprite (responds in the same way to the key imput etc), but does not have the sine. When the game needs to know the base angle, i tell it to use the new Sprite's one.

    That's not very efficient, but looks effective. i still need to try out your suggestions.

  • I had this idea for a game for a vary long time and never really thought i could make it myself. When i found out about C2 and tried it i figured i could make it happen if i really wanted to! So i just started messing around. I had it all in my mind and just let my creativity do the rest. Things fall into place when i work and new ideas arise.

Over time, i gradually learned new things, refined my skills, implemented new ideas, and here we are, in the middle of the alpha stage with a very complex project going on!

  • I was only doing some AI stuff and ran into some problems FPS wise. When there are >10 zombies in range the fps drops way below a playable status. So that could may be a problem. Looks Iike I have to find a more efficient way to use AI.

    I'm willing to help you to find the problem; i can assure you it is an issue in the events you're using for the AI, because my game can handle 100 animals each with collision checks and (rather complex) AI in a huge map without performance issues (and my PC is not even mid-powerful).

    Send me a screenshot of your AI events or a save with them, i really want to see your game come to life.

  • TiAm why do you still prefer 10.5? 12 alpha2 seems to fix every jank problem for me, even though CPU usage is still weirdly higher than 10.5 and previous. But overall, i feel the game runs even smoother (placebo?).

  • I know i can just assign the same tag to all sounds and use it, but they already use their own tags logic-wise. I did actually make an event that pauses all tags (huge list), but is there a way to tell the game to pause ALL sounds actually playing without listing all tags and repeat the action? I dont need to silence them, but pause them.

  • This is not to beg or anything, i'm just wondering if, considering Scirra just started the winter holydays (that they DESERVE on the highest possible degree!) you think that the r193 is realistically possible to see the light of day anytime soon, or only in january.

    Once again ,i m not asking for haste or anything, just sheer curiosity

  • Looks like using "Create Object" and adapting the events to it solved the issue in my project, the bug is still there for C2 though, but it concerns "Spawn another Object".
