Construct 3 is amazing and you can make anything you want in 2d. In my opinion the line between native and Html5 are getting very blurry and I would personally choose Html5 and cross platform first.

No disrespect to Unity, but I've played with it and I question the use of it for 2d. Things take literally 10x longer to produce.

My 2 cets are - I only have one life and and want to spend time making more content/games, not wasting time with cumbersome UI etc.

Hi Construct Peeps / Ashley / Tom and the rest of the Construct Team :)

After the death of Flash I've found it very hard to find a 'home' with any other game engine (Flash wasn't really a game engine, but you know what I'm saying).

I've tinkered and experimented with almost every engine that supported HTML5, but was very confused by which direction to take, because I've spent too much time listening to what everyone said I needed.

I've always known that Construct 2 was an amazing engine, but I was under the impression I needed to code my games, and I needed an engine that supported native mobile exports, in order to get the best results. After the release of Construct 3, I've decided to put some time into the engine, and found out that it's an absolutely amazing piece of software that really suits my workflow.

I've stopped listening to all the noise around me, and decided to follow my instincts, and made Construct 3, my home :)

I really believe in HTML5 tech and where it's going and I've decided to follow through with some goals that have been on my mind for a long time.

So here I go ...

1. Make 50 coffee break style games in 2019 (basically 1 every week, and have 1 week off at the end of the year).

2. Start posting daily YouTube videos about balancing Game Dev, Fun with Family and Health & Fitness. As a part of the channel I'd also like to share C3 prototypes you guys can use in your creations and some inspirational/motivational thoughts.

3. Balance my Game Dev plans for 2019, by setting some equally ambitious fitness goals.

4. Embrace and use Social Media.

I'm happy to say that week 1 is now behind me, and I've found the process extremely fun and freeing. There is something special about this quick game dev process, and I tend to focus less on the unimportant bits and pieces.

Thank you for the suggestion, it however still leaves me with the clashing problem.

Since I have all my sound effects tagged as 'sfx', it means that the pseudo code in your suggestion would trigger any sound effect tagged 'sfx', and not just the Siren sound.

I feel like there must be a simple way to do this - maybe editing the file and looping it 3x in Audacity would be the best solution.

I would however like to know, whether there is a way to solve this while still being able to use my 'sfx' tag, for muting sound effects.

Just wondering whether I'm missing a simple way of looping a sound effect, let's say 3 times.

As far as a I can tell, the only way to do this is either use a counter and play the sound again once the it's finished, or turn looping off after X seconds.

Turning looping off after X seconds is an OK option, I'm however using a 'sfx' tag already for my volume control, and can't seem to use multiple tags - in order to turn looping off for that particular sound.

Any ideas?
