  • Yep I agree the texts can get a little distracting.

    My minor nitpicks are there is an obvious graphics clash, having the sprites as Pixel art and everything else vector.

    I love the Paralax going on at the top of the screen; the bottom looks a little weird though. Is the land supposed to be an outcrop and the parallax at the bottom I suppose are Plate Tectonics in action???

  • Decent game. It's a standard block puzzle and one feature I can see stand out from other games in the market is its ability to eliminate entire rows and columns.

    I reached level 18 and so far there doesn't seem to be a way to lose the game.

    It'd help if the player can choose difficult level from the start instead of having to go through easy ones first. If there is a difficulty curve, it's very slow.

    Odd color choices for the first 10 levels. Dark Brown, Dark Yellow and Olive Green. These aren't exactly vibrant colors and they don't feel inviting enough to keep the player invested.

    Music is great. The mood is perfect for a puzzle game and considerably upbeat.

    It's great for a prototype but honestly, you may need to choose a theme instead of just colors. If you're going for colors then maybe have them look like shiny globs of paint instead of the default squares.

  • Very fun and simple. Under the same category as the popular "Piano Tiles" game I guess.

    However a minor nitpick of mine would be the blur applied to the tiles. I think they might contribute to the player's eye strain after playing for a while. Maybe if the blur were reduced to just enough to have that neon effect but less that the current level.

    I don't know if you set it this way but the glove only seems to punch in one direction and did not seem to drain Will Smith's (odd choice of person to punch by the way) life bar? At least I'm assuming the hearts to the right of the screen were his life. As far as the purpose of your game goes (a stress reliever to be exact), it did indeed help relieve some of my stress because the overall combination of the hearts, Will Smith's face and the drawn "body" were so damn funny...

  • Lately I've been playing a game called "Alundra" for the PS1 which has a Z axis and jumping mechanics.

    A jumping mechanic would be nice for your engine. It's a lost art.

  • UPDATE: Sorry for the double post.

    I just finished another session of playing this game. I found a bug. I again tried to squeeze in between 2 bars the distance barely higher than the length of the character. I got a <<< and suddenly my character popped out of the other side. He somehow squeezed through the bars.

    Another "bug" I noticed, I don't know if you did this intentionally or not but when I collide with a bar during a jump, my vertical velocity seems to be stalled. If a bar is pushing you, the jump doesn't seem to continue anymore.

    Ok I just got done with another session earning a total of 128 jumps. But somehow only my previous high score of 76 is recorded in the site. The bug isn't with the game but the site's scoring itself!

  • MPPlantOfficial did you mean, the squeeze between 2 lines is when the player is on platform and suddenly is out and fall? Like a bug..

    Not really a bug. I tried to jump while a platform was speeding towards me and got pushed in between. Although you could check the platform's shape. If you were using Pixel-Perfect collision there is a possibility of getting stuck.

  • I actually always enjoyed the old tank controls too. I don't remember anyone ever complaining about them until RE4 (still tank controls) came out. Then hating tank controls became a sort of a fad.

    Thing about tank controls is they have to come with either a fixed angle like the RE games or a fixed camera like SH. Adds to the atmosphere and horror. These days it's all about jump scares.

    Working on a game with those initials so that's what I chose as a user name.

    My goal is to create new genres of games.

    I also draw a lot of inspiration from having played hacks and homebrews after having played through most of the NES and SNES classics.

  • First time I saw this I thought it was a Tank-type survival horror.

    Tank controls are a lost art.

    One thing I have to say though is your main characters breasts HAVE to be bigger in order to get noticed in today's game market.
