1GB download - I think my computer just would quit working if I would try the game.
If you would store also the "trophy size" to every level it should be solved.
If trophy is bigger than the stored one = Tada
Edit: you also could look at the stored score/time/lap because you know which trophy he has and so you could also check.... (but my first suggestion is simpler)
this could help
just tried it and reminded me of the old portable Nintendo games.
And yes the game is very easy - except at the 80point mark where it speeds up finally, but then at 95 gets nearly impossible.

Can you ping your computer (the firewall should not block this request) and ping your router?
With another computer use the command line and write following (of course with your IP address)
Ping 192.168.0.20
On a smartphone you would need an app like Fing

Something that (as far as I know) isn't mentioned - you have to preview your game (run layout or debug layout)
You could call the menu within the same layout. With functions, it's easy to implement in every level - or use global layout.
Or save the position of every enemy/direction and the player and maybe a persist layout.
It depends of your kind of game.
I think you can make it without a hitbox, but you also could switch to a smaller hitbox when player get's small.
As far as I know it is not mandatory for C2.
Other engines need a hitbox to work correctly.
But it still makes sense to use one
