  • Ha! The title alone had me click on the link to see what you were up to. Welcome to the community and best of luck in continuing with your project.

  • I agree with everyone above in that the art in the 2nd screenshot looks extremely intriguing!

Any additional details available on what your plans are with these?

  • Hi Fohsap!

That's great that you have something that you want to wrap up for distribution. There are a ton of awesome tutorials on the site which you can find here:

    scirra.com/tutorials/all

If you are still in the testing stage, check out the 'How to preview on a local network' tutorial to set up your development PC as a host for allowing other devices (another PC, Android/iOS phone or tablet with wifi, etc) to connect and test.

For publishing to Android specifically, check out the 'How to make Android games' and scroll down to the Testing and Publishing section.

As an alternative, you can check out PhoneGap Build (and create builds for all the major platforms) and its associated tutorial:

    scirra.com/tutorials/71/how-to-make-native-phone-apps-with-construct-2-and-phonegap

Best of luck and make sure to post once you have it available in one of the app stores!

  • Wow! Great work so far! Love the tone that the art style sets. The palette really sets everything up great.

Can't wait to see this completed.

  • Great to see you here in the C2 forums T! <img src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

It's a major bonus for the community when an established developer comes aboard. I look forward to seeing what you come up with in Construct 2 and hope that you'll see an opportunity to create some tutorials once you get the hang of the great tools that Ashley and Tom continue to improve upon (your GameSalad tutorials were easily the best out there; easy to follow and rich in content).

  • Wow! These look great srealist. Thanks for taking the time to create and share.

  • Love the art style of the character and the jumping action feels pretty good. Can't wait to see where this goes.

  • Those were great; thanks for sharing David.

  • I totally agree; the badge system is a great way to foster the community. It would be great if they continue to build upon it. Those categories you outlined would be an interesting choice too.

  • *Edit* Also I download Firefox 8 and did encounter the problem, but I must say, even before that point the general performance of Firefox is TERRIBLE compared to Chrome. A much smoother gaming experience with Chrome.

Interestingly enough it felt like it was running faster for me on Firefox but definitely not as smooth as on Chrome (more even experience).

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Doh! I didn't even think about faking it with bullets!

I'll play around with it and see what sort of effects I can get out of it.

    Thanks for the quick response!

  • I've done a couple of searches on the forums and noticed that CC has particles already but I couldn't locate anything in regards to C2.

Are implementing a particle engine into C2 anywhere on the current road map?

    TIA.
