• This is just the post from HERE and you haven't even attempted to do anything. Not only that, you're asking for people to help you 'fast'.

    That's a little cheeky :/

Then again, people here are generally very helpful so you may be lucky :)

  • A company I once worked for looked into the possibility of sending a reminder text message to our clients when they had to attend meetings, but it was prohibitively expensive, so I can't really see that happening soon.

There's a simple example on the russian site. The graphics are simple - yours look way cooler - but the mechanics aren't bad.

  • Add the sprites to a family, then just check the family for collisions. The family will keep track of everything for you.

I created a small tutorial on families HERE. It includes a .cap.

  • As a test, I D/L the Prof UIS trial and tried it with VS2010, but it didn't compile I guess you must need the full version.

    ++EDIT++

Just one error left, but can't seem to fix it, Prob cause you need the professional verion of Prof UIS(maybe):

    "c:\program files\scirra\construct\ide\bars\propertiesbar.h: error C2061: syntax error : identifier 'pMalloc'"

Far be it of me to question someone with your far greater knowledge and experience with CC, but if 'wait' isn't bugged in any way, then isn't it far more understandable just to put 'Wait: Delay 2000 ms' rather than what you have done?

I've never had a problem with the wait command, but am willing to concede to you're experience if it is the case.

  • This has been discussed previously and nothing came of it. Now that CC is maintained be a few dedicated forum users only, there is little need and time to create manuals or books. The emphasis is - rightly - on C2 now.

Besides, there are more than enough tutorials in this list , fantastically maintained by JamesX, to give everyone a good grounding in CC.

And where you put the files?

I find sites such as those a little dodgy, and I refuse to enable scripting on them.

A lot of us here use DropBox as it is free, allows you to share files easily, and even publish public links to such things as Construct 2 examples, i.e. you can host the whole C2 example on Dropbox and allow others to easily see and test your work. A much better system, in my (very) humble opinion

    Only joshing. Looks the biz!

    Nice work, chrisbrobs.

  • Almost there, chrisbrobs :)

Only one very, very, itsy teenie, weenie, slight quibble :/

The numbering on the navigation arrows looks a little messy as the count increases. 2 options I can think of are: place the count above or below the arrow or make the whole layout, and hence the nav arrows, slightly larger.

    zen

  • Very nice, chrisbrobs.

I can only see a 'navigate right' arrow to move through the tile textures. Is this right, or am I missing something? The ability to go back to a previous texture would be useful :)
