  • Hey Ashely , I hate asking for new features, but would it be possible to add this as a system expression? I need it so I can easily revert back to the original layer color after changing it...

    In my game I have some layers with the "force own texture" on at the top, so I can give the layout some kind of "color light" depending on the current level. But there's an item that changes that color only when it's equipped, so I wanted to change it back after it has been used.

    I'm sure there would be a lot of uses for that system expression too.

    Edit: Also I'm not sure if it's a bug, but C2 won't allow me to type anything other than an hexidecimal code on the "background color" property, on the properties window when the layer is selected. I'm trying to copy one color that I have in another layer to it and I don't think there's a way..

    Whoa, seriously? I haven't even programmed the d-pad to work in my game (only the analog)... maybe it's translating the analog to be a dpad? Really weird, but at least it's something!

  • This isn't advisable, but you can do it by saving your game as a .caproj file (File -> Save as Project), and opening the .caproj file on notepad.

    There's a line written "<saved-with-version>15000</saved-with-version>", just change that number to whatever version you want. To check the right number, just install version 146, save any game as a .caproj and do the same thing to look at the number.

  • Sorry to bump my old thread (again), but months have passed and I still cannot find a good solution. I hate it that the game actually runs fine, but because I can't change the users resolution it'll cause a lot of lag on some pcs for a reason this stupid!

    The only way I found to quick fix this is telling the user to enable the "run in 640x480" compatibility mode, but this puts black bars on the screen if his monitor is widescreen.

    I'm sure there must be a way to change the user's resolution when the game starts, I tried searching for another program or batch file that does that but couldn't find anything..

    Ashley could you shed any light on this? Thanks!

  • You're spawning the bullet on layer 0 (which is the background) and it has paralax. Just change it to layer 1 or 2 and it'll work fine.

  • He probably means clamping the turret angle... If that's the case, use the search.

  • I'm pretty sure it isn't a region issue, I've sent my game for a japanese friend to try it out and it worked just fine.
