  • Wouldn't it be better to use several sounds, then use a timeline to play them?

  • You might be better off asking what can't be used to pick, as there are tons of ways. You can use just about anything the object can do to pick it, you can use the system to pick it, you can use other objects to pick it, the list goes on and on. As to your other question, you can add multiple conditions to the event, or pair them up using pv's, families, containers, object pairer, again just about anything they can have in common.

    On sub events Im not quite sure what you mean, any thing that is picked is automatically used in actions, unless nothing is picked, and then the parent is used.

  • Well I think it all depends on what kind of games you play.

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

    Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Nope Source Forge is just down. Try back later.

  • edit::oh wait!!!

    I know one I always wanted for construct, and that was to be able to create an array of objects that you can pick by array index, I know most people think this is the same as UIDs, but it's not, really. that method is very annoying to implement, and requires you to work around all the features that normally make construct so great!.

    Actually you might need something like this for your bitmapfont object.

  • Sorry but if every object had the same z there would be no depth. Objects must be at different z heights in order to see a difference, hence the reason why zero is on the ground, and 100 is kicking in your teeth. Besides you can use families to change multiple object's z at one time.

  • One thing I think is cool about bitmapped fonts is you have the ability to create all kinds of text effects, like scrolling text, etc. One thing that might be interesting is if it was set up to make these effects easier, perhaps programmable, and shareable.... ehh that might just have to be a separate plug.

  • Truly, the words ghost, shooter, and exe should not be in the same post

  • Why not just put things into groups?

  • I like it.

  • Instead of a sticky it should be a sub forum, that way all posts relating to ghost shooter could be placed there. Like you said there will be a few valid reasons for making a post, and these posts should be answered without going off topic. Plus there's a chance that some of the new users questions will be answered there, and they wont need to make a new thread,

  • No this is a bad idea. This is an open source project, and thus an open source community. Meaning everyone regardless of skill, age, or what ever should be encouraged to share, even if it is the "hello world" equivalent. I agree it can be annoying.

    I've often found myself "tilting at windmills" at graphics forums trying to persuade people from falling for the siggy bug, a click of so called graphics artists who produce nothing but signatures using copy pasta of other people's art, but alas that is a loosing battle.

    You can however, appeal to people's sense of individuality, by making a specific part of the forum to deal with this, perhaps a subforum under creations. In this subforum you could allow users to post their ghost shooter clone. Hopefully those with any sense of creativity will see the hundreds of duplicates, and be inspired to make something else. Also, this way if someone does go off the path, and post a clone where it's unwelcome, the thread could simply be moved.
