  • The vast majority of Rex's plugs were for C2.

He ported them for the transitional C3 that supported the C2 runtime.

Then they made changes to C3 that required all of those plugs be changed a second time.

I' don't remember if he was still around for modules support but that required some changes as well.

Rex was a prolific plug developer.

Also, oh hey there's a plug api: construct.net/en/make-games/manuals/addon-sdk

  • Just set its speed in events, random(75,200)

  • Not really. It is endless, but to get seamless you could maybe mirror from the middle of the size you are using. The plug could use some reworking imo, but the person who made it is gone, so that may not be an option.

A none wasm lite version would be nice, especially since Advance Random was excluded from Animate. Perhaps if they split up some of its components.

  • Seems like their new model is aimed at AAA any way.

Pushback for EU rules most likely.

  • Not just lighting, you can even use them to draw.

    Draw a painting, a sprite... a map.

  • Oh. Yeah seems like Chrome is going down hill lately.

  • Maybe turn off WebGPU.

Either way update drivers, blah blah, the usual spiel of render bugs.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Guess they were expecting developers to generate a lot of content at runtime.

    Makes sense for 3d.

  • 300mb to 7gb doesn't add up, so it must be in the emulation layer.

  • Well I am going to keep it real simple. The target audience may not have much experience, which is why apps like Canva, and Adobe Express are somewhat popular for this kind of thing. They are also basically a collection of cookie cutters.

You can get pretty close to what the full on motion graphics editors do with Animate, but with a lower price and learning curve.

Basically I'm just doing tips and tricks for now.

  • Thanks GenkiGenga

My plan right now is to focus on the social media aspect of Animate.

Not the marketing of influencers so much as exploring the niche of creating content.

So more motion and graphical design, and only slightly gamdev related.

I'll be doing stuff for beginners in the content creators realm with tuts and templates, then move to more advanced.

  • You don't need Ashley to train an ai on C3's scripting... just sayin
