  • I think he said ages ago that something like this would be a lot of work to do.

  • It could be this issue? Which I doubt will be fixed anytime soon.

    https://github.com/rogerwang/node-webkit/wiki/The-solution-of-lacking-libudev.so.0

ue to the removal of libudev0 and its associated library libudev.so.0, node-webkit isn't able to run on newer distributions such as:

    Ubuntu 13.04

    Fedora 18, 19

    Arch

    Gentoo

    Derivatives of the above

...and possibly others. Until node-webkit is updated to depend on the currently shipped version libudev.so.1edited><editid>alspal</editid><editdate>2013-10-10 23:29:15</editdate></edited>

  • Oh ya,I forgot it would solve that pixel perfect issue as well, nice.

  • As we know, there's massive performance differences for some games when it goes into fullscreen or changes to a larger window size.

I'm requesting an option/setting for scaling that would render the game at a set resolution so that when the window changes size it is merely stretching that rendered window. Is this a possibility, I'm pretty sure this would help with that performance problem?

I realize it would be a lot of work, but for some computers this would enable people to run games fullscreen. For instance my game runs perfectly on my laptop (60fps) but is really laggy (less than 30fps) when fullscreen, same situation for my brothers Mac mini and my cousins Acer laptop.

  • I've had 2 people tell me about this error out of a couple of thousand people, so it's not too bad I guess.

Should I just tell them to update their graphics drivers, or redownload it, make sure game is unzipped? Can't think of anything else.

  • Ya, don't sell through them primarily. The only reason I signed up with them is to give people keys from bundles (indiegamestand, groupees, etc.) I'd recommend IndieGameStand store if you want a low limit ($100, I think its one off too?) or Humble ($250). But ya, I've only been paid once from Humble in the last 4 months cause of the limits, I don't expect I'll ever get paid from Desura :P

Greenlight is a decent way to get a bit of exposure, I've had 22000 views and have hardly linked it around anywhere. But maybe only 1% of those views will visit my site from that page.

  • Doesn't matter, whatever is best for your code.

  • Gog will decline most games.

  • Humble store, indiegamestand store, then Desura.

  • Cloning games and making fangames is the best way to learn from the pros. If you want to sell, its fine as long as you use different graphics/music/words.

  • condition/compare: distancetravelled % 40 = 0

Will give you "for each distance travelled", % means modulus.

  • Just use inner/outer scale.
