Fantastic! Looking forward to the updated plugin, hopefully it's coming soon!
Where are we currently at with compatability? Are the latest versions of everything working together (greenworks plugin, r218, NW.js 0.13.0-alpha6, Steamworks SDK v1.35)?
How exactly do you know the # of assets a project has?
The only way I'm aware of is to export the game, then unzip the package.nw and check how many files there are.
zenox98 that helps, thanks! I didn't notice that one, since I already knew of the browser object's url action.
Kings of Israel is on greenlight!
Would really appreciate some votes, really struggling to get any! I wasn't the designer, I just did the computer adaption from a boardgame for a couple of years. Ironically near the end of development I accidentally became an atheist lol.
It's a common issue with developers that they either start a too big project they can't finish, or they start too many small ones.
I don't think it's an issue. I've had a lot of fun working on hundreds and hundreds of projects, even when 99% of them don't get finished it's at least been an enjoyable way to outlet some of passion/inspiration/creativity.
Thanks for the update to Greenworks 0.5!
So it's been quite a few months since the last NW.js update, is it not improving much, or is it as good as it's going to get?
PC gamers hate not being able to use keyboard, even if you recommend that a gamepad is the best way to experience the game, you'll get a lot of complaints and confused users if the keyboard is not well supported.
Ideally for efficiency and a large audience, we need to support as many input methods as we can while using as few buttons as possible.
lwgames I think we'll have to start a new topic or page with all information in this topic compiled, it doesn't seem like Ashley has much interest/time to keep it updated or comprehensive.
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
— supporting everything takes time and effort, and sometimes it's not worth that cost. Especially since we have close to zero discussion about the Wii-U, so for all I know it's a dead platform/market, with the HTML5 power of an apple watch.
Colludium Thanks! That works perfectly for Mac.
Yeah uploading a build to Steam is really convoluted!
andreyin, thanks for that info!
Has anyone made a compilation post elsewhere with all this scattered information in it? It doesn't look like Ashley is going to edit the first post ever again.
