I tried exporting Space Blaster to NW.js using WebP images and it worked fine for me.
If you run in to any problems please file an issue following all the guidelines, as we need all that information to be able to help.
It's also documented in the manual: construct.net/en/make-games/manuals/construct-3/getting-started/get-construct-3
The release video shows one way to install as an app in Chrome. It's currently only supported in Chrome and Edge.
We intentionally do not share the source code to plugins/behaviors, as modifying them causes really painful compatibility nightmares. It really causes more problems than it solves. You should find another way to make alterations - the Platform behavior is already highly customisable from events.
Yes, we already use WebAssembly for various things like audio transcoding, image optimisation, physics and Advanced Random!
"Aw snap" means the browser crashed, not Construct, so it may actually be a problem with the browser. However in general if you run in to any problems please file an issue here following all the guidelines: github.com/Scirra/Construct-bugs
It should already be supported - if something doesn't work right please file an issue following all the guidelines here: github.com/Scirra/Construct-bugs
I've not seen any other reports of those issues. As ever we need a bug report following all the guidelines to be able to investigate.
We get a lot done and routinely add lots of new things to Construct. However if you ask us to clone an entire product with years of development already gone in to it, it's such a major request it's not clear it's even realistic. It would be better to focus on ways to integrate Spriter and Construct, and there's already a third-party addon that supports it.
The option is still there. However it is currently only supported in Chrome and Edge (and other Chromium-based browsers).
Given all the marketing for Construct 3 is about game development, we felt it was less confusing to make a separate product that could be marketed independently as an animation tool.
Thanks for the thoughts - we weren't sure about including a desktop (.exe) export option for animation, can you tell us a bit more about why that would be preferable for animations over a web export or video?
We're going to continue to work hard on C3 as well, and you'll continue to see plenty more updates in future! All the latest updates have kept coming while we were doing some work on Construct Animate in the background, and that will keep going: construct.net/en/make-games/releases
