  • Hey I think you should do what you feel like doing at the moment, if you fail, just try to think what went wrong and learn from it because failure is nothing else but an opportunity to improve. I am personally on the beginning of my road as well, I think putting the game on sites like itch.io and making it free for the time of development would be a really nice idea. At least that's what I am doing for now, will see how it goes. That way you could gather feedback from people and later on if the game becomes bigger you could release a full, paid version. Anyways I wish you good luck and I will be watching your progress.

I really like that idea of sending scouts btw.. sounds interesting.

Thank you for your comment on my topic as well! Really glad that you liked it.

  • Oh, I always upload my images either on imgur or giphy (depending if its a .png or a .gif) and use [ img]link[/img] (without space in brackets) to make them appear so can't help much on that department, not sure if it's possible to upload them directly from forums if that's what you asked for.

Yeah I think the shooting part would be really nice, and the ammo could be very limited so it would be an exclusive thing to shoot from time to time. The Last of Us style I guess.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hey that's a pretty decent core for a game, what you got there is nice so far. I would suggest adding 1-2 screenshots or .gifs to the topic because we humans are visual creatures after all and we get attracted to what we see, so I think more people would bother to click the link if they saw some kind of visual representation of the game.

Will there be some shooting included later on? Or I didn't get to that part?

  • Great stuff, as always gillenew

nice! Every time I see something posted by you I am quite amazed, keep inspiring and making great stuff man! And thanks for the .capx, I'm definitely looking into that since I am all about fancy things.

    >Krazy Kitten is now on itch.io hue hue<

  • I am proud to present THIS.

What is this you ask, well, it's the alpha version of our game called "Cyber Kitten". We really liked the visual style of Downwell (black/red/white ftw) and the gameplay of Super Crate Box, so we told ourselves "We are game developers (supposedly), why should we wait for a game like this if we can make our own version".. so we did.

The story revolves around a milkaholic kitten whose milk bottles were stolen by weird space creatures.. which is the reason behind the kitten rushing to the space and slaying hordes of these bastards!

Avoid/kill enemies, collect enough bottles to get to the next stage and unlock new weapon!

    What I've done so far:

    • 5 stages
    • 5 different modes
    • 13 different weapons
    • 5 enemies in two versions (normal/angry)
    • 3 different power-ups to collect

Below you can play the demo on itch.io!

  • hahaha, I'm probably having my name possibly changed cuz I don't like how people can't me (even tho it makes me feel a bit like a godlike incognito super secret asssassin typa thing lol) but yeah I'm really a fan of this project, keep it going and whenever you need a tester or something you can even drop me a message, would love to help! Actually I'd love if you PM'ed me some contact info, being surrounded by people who inspire me is precious.

  • I can only say that after collecting 2 tomes, I was said the tome is at -10, 0 but it wasn't there. Besides that the thing itself is quite impressive.

  • Man, I just love the vibe this game gives me. Can't say much more, just do me a favor - keep this topic updated from time to time. I'm lovin' it.

  • I love that lighting! The game looks smooth.

  • Smileh Of course I took it as a compliment, I was far from taking it as an offense. I just explained the things standing behind my design choices.

  • Smileh I would be shocked if someone didn't see big visual NT influences there, I was pointing my inspiration out since the beginning. Besides that the game itself is totally different in terms of mechanics and progressing through it. Also, we are still using some placeholders from Nuclear Throne so thank you for your concerns.
