Notes
Safari 16.4 is due for release soon, but our pre-release testing has identified some serious issues that cause problems in both Construct and published projects. We don't know when exactly Safari 16.4 will be released, or whether the issues we've already reported to Apple will be fixed in time - they never tell us such details. However in order to pre-empt the possibility that Apple roll out Safari 16.4 anyway even with the serious issues - a situation that has happened before - we are releasing an emergency patch for Construct that disables the affected feature (worker mode) in Safari.
In order to pre-empt the possibility of a broken Safari release, we also advise anyone with important projects published as iOS apps or to the web that needs to work in iOS/Safari to re-publish their project using either this release or the latest beta release. This will ensure it keeps working even if Apple roll out a broken Safari release. Unfortunately Apple's release process for Safari has often caused developers serious disruption in the past, and sadly this is a situation we are all too familiar with, and we don't have any guarantee it won't happen again this time, so we are taking this action to try to minimise the disruption for Construct users. We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and co-operation.
