Notes

We've identified two more issues affecting the latest stable release that we wanted to fix for you. We're always keen to ensure Construct is working as well as possible for everyone, so we're releasing a patch update to fix them.

In case you missed them, the original r327 release video is included again above, and you can review the r327 release notes here. It was a big release so there's lots to catch up on!

  • when I updated this error appeared please fix the bug with WebGL, otherwise no layout does not start, and I need to make my project

  • Hi there Ashley, this is a significant update! We have discovered that Container objects are broken to some degree. If you enter a layout for the first time with container objects that hold persistent objects they work. But if you leave the layout and then come back in only the persistent objects stay. The container objects don't spawn. This has caused many existing mechanics to break in my game, BioGun. Can you please look into this? Before this update, we did not run into this issue. Excellent work as usual! :)

      I'm afraid it's usually impossible to help without more details! If you run in to any problems please file an issue following all the guidelines.

      • I will be happy to report the issue using your link. But I will say that the issue is as simple as this: Containers do not work with persistent objects. They do not create the contained object.

        EDIT: Looking further into your bug report it would be impossible for me to follow your guidelines. My project is massive with over 30,000 actions. I can not submit an example that uses minimal events.

        As stated before, Persistent Objs with containers do not spawn in their contained obj when you re-enter the room they are in.

        EDIT 2: I have created a tiny new project that showcases the issue. This is great as this tells me that this is solely a container issue and not some code in my project. I will upload this example. Recreating this issue lets me know MANY construct users will run into this problem with containers if used with persistent objects.

      I'm afraid if WebGL fails to initialise, it's usually caused by broken graphics drivers, and not Construct or the browser. Try installing any available system software updates, or try updating the graphics driver.

      • I've been having the same issue and haven't updated any drivers, applications or OS. Totally locked down, no updates.

        Above a certain size the canvas (and preview) will render black. Collision shape outlines are still visible but nothing else. I believe issue started occurring during the last beta cycle. My workaround has been to keep the search window docked under the canvas window to control the size it's drawing at.

        The issue occurs with no other software, browser-based or otherwise.

  • This release is hanging my browser on any project constantly. I was not having the issue before. It seems more frequent when zoomed in on the layout with 1 or more objects selected and you try to scroll or move. It happens on script scrolling as well. Selecting "wait" several times, it never recovers and you have to close and reopen the project. This was not happening on previous version

  • Hi, I am trying to export my game to Instant Games for facebook. Not working for this release, r327.2. I have an old zip file from the release before from construct. And that is working perfect to upload to Facebook. So why, what has happend ? //Christian

  • When i put Sounds / Music to subfolder, in event sheet i dont have acces to uploaded files

  • Hi please fix the find keyword feature, currently it is not working.

    Edit:

    After more testing, it seem some keyword able to search in the eventsheet example:

    Browser Log Message

    ">[Online] Start Layout"

    due to [], removing that seem to work again.

  • Please fix the debug view!

    I like to preview the Debug on one monitor and the game on the other monitor, and every time I restart the Debug preview again, I have to adjust the screens again! Would you be able to fix this?

    In construct 2 this did not happen!
