  • I tried the same steps - open from start screen - and it worked fine for me.

I notice from your other posts that you had an issue when installing. Maybe the problem is related to that?

  • See THIS post from Tom. There was an issue, so he had to reset.

  • The concept is very interchangeable between CC and C2, so that if you are comfortable with the event system in CC then you will find C2 easy to pickup and use.

  • Could be a problem with collision masks.

Try using a dummy sprite with platform behavior (invisible at start) and add an Every Tick event to set the character position to that of the dummy sprite. That works with your cap. You would then just handle the animations as usual depending upon direction.

  • Cool - 3 more badges for me :)

    No pirate princess :(

Hmmmm. Manual seems to be well hidden ;/

  • What about this CSV plugin HERE. May be of use to you.

  • Groups are useful for 'grouping' together sections of events, that can then be enabled/disabled at runtime. So for instance, if you had all your movement events in a Group, you could disable all movement as and when required.

    Groups are good :)

You should maybe take the time and look at the examples that come with C2, and some of the tutorials.

You have given the main player a handful of behaviors that are conflicting with each other. i.e. you should use either 8-way or Platform and not both, and not with physics, solid etc.

Just start simple, and remove all the behaviors except platform, and continue from that point.

  • I would think that Scirra deserves the recognition for producing such a program, and displaying that text is helping to promote them.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • All behaviors and plugins are stored (usually) in 'C:\Program Files\Construct 2\exporters\html5\' and are just JavaScript. You can use the SDK and create your own if you so wish.

    Is that what you mean?

  • Being a big golf fan I just HAD to try this, and........it's good. I like the idea and the implementation. Just needs a few tweaks, already covered by previous posters, I'd say.

Nice to see you haven't left for good now that you're employed, chrisbrobs :)

  • Ah! Nice to know. Cheers :)

  • Being British I have no idea what 'Atlantic Standard Time' is. What is it in GMT?

    Sorry to insist....

'Insist' is a very strong word. No-one here (other than Tom and Ash) are affiliated with Scirra. We are all just users of the program and help out people if we can. Insisting is not very nice :(

  • Are you allowed to sell it if you haven't got a license? I only ask coz I can't see your early adopter badge. If you have one, my bad :)
