  • Without seeing the .capx it's difficult to see. Are you amending the Y value of the layer you are using for parallax?

Here's an example just using y parallax (uses r170, available at bottom of page). Does it help?

  • That's a triggered even, so the animation won't have enough time to play.

    Use On Right Arrow Down.

  • One of the bug fixes reported by Ashley for r170 was 'Sprites could appear at the wrong size after export'.

I think this was caused by the new Downscaling option.

Have you altered that option? If not, then Ashley may not have fully fixed the export bug.

  • If you add an action, then the Set Shadow Colour option is available. But if you try to use the Expression Panel, then the option isn't there.

    Methinks 'tis a bug.

  • Deep

  • Very atmospheric

But please add a proper character, even though it's just a test. It would add to the atmosphere immensely.

Oh and make a game with it

  • There isn't an 'Isometric' mode in C2 at the moment - many wish there was

Isometric is possible, but not easily for a beginner. If you search there are a few examples that people have shown.

  • Have you followed Ashley's tutorial?

  • Just download the free version and try out some of the templates. Then try prototyping things you're interested in. Most of what you want to do should be easy to do, even in the limited free version.

Basically, just go for it, and have fun

  • Try Construct 3

  • Maybe the following post and response from Ashley may answer this. It appears to be a similar issue.

  • This is unlikely to be an error with Construct 2 as thousands of people are successfully using it.

It is much more likely to be an issue with your computer, but as you have provided virtually no information, there is probably nothing anyone can do to help you.

    What OS? GPU? Memory?

Have you tried a clean install of the latest beta?

Try uninstalling the current version, reboot, install r169 (link at bottom of page)..

Also make sure your graphic driver is up to date.

  • Ubivis

I hope not. I lost months of my life in Skyrim

  • A sample is really not needed, as it's the mechanical process of drag and drop that is at work here. A sample would just show an animated sprite, which is effectively useless.

Just start a new project, then drag any .gif from your PC and drop it onto the Layout anywhere. The .gif will be turned into an animated sprite.

If you're not comfortable with the Drag and Drop process, then the long way is to Press right mouse and select 'Insert new object'.

Choose sprite and click anywhere on the Layout. The Image Editor will automatically launch, allowing you to create or load your graphic for the sprite. In the 'Animation Frames' window, press right mouse and select 'Import Frames' and navigate to where you have your .gif file. The gif will be loaded and split into it's original frames.

  • A gif can just be dragged straight onto a Layout, and a sprite will automatically be created with all the individual frames from the .gif.

Flash files are not supported, nor will they ever be.

  • Latest downloads are always shown at the bottom of the page.
