  • It actually works OK for me, showing 'Space is down' as expected when moving left or right.

Remember to check on different keyboard if possible, as certain keyboards can cause this issue to manifest.

  • It will be Project/Window size, as Layout size can be huge, obviously, to cater for scrolling horizontal or vertical games.

  • The release notes don't mention mov, but it would only take a few seconds to mock-up a prototype to test different forrmats.

  • Wouldn't you be better asking this on a more appropriate site that deals with vbs?

  • Not sure of the actual answer, but the blog on Tilemaps (https://www.scirra.com/blog/ashley/3/tech-blog-tilemap-tidbits) does mention all the optimise techniques, one of which is repeated blocks. The thing is, it doesn't mention whether this takes place on a Layer by Layer process, or just for an individual Tilemap Layer. Ashley would know and may answer, if he has a spare moment

Either way, it should be easy to quickly mock-up a prototype and check in debug? Might give you some useful info back.

Start with one Layer with the Tilemap, debug, then add another Layer with identical Tilemap image, debug. Rinse and repeat as required.

  • Using r171 and you're .capx, I dropped a file and it appeared in the green box OK.

  • Is this something like you're after:

  • There are a few Touch examples that come pre-installed with C2. Maybe a start?

  • You have always needed to use the very latest build to upload to the arcade, so r171 is needed.

You can always, install r171, upload to arcade then remove and put r168 back on. A bit of faffing, but it doesn't take that long to do.

The size is a problem, so you will need to do some pruning to get the size down.

  • Have you tried Project settings: point sampling, pixel rounding, letterbox integer scale.

  • I can't drag the red sprite and the sprite font doesn't have a sprite object.

Are you sure this is the correct .capx that shows the problem you describe?

  • Just try any image that isn't larger than 2046, even a placeholder image, just to see if that's the problem. It can't hurt anything, but it would at least give you an idea if that's where the problem may be.
