  • Hi, I had read more times the tutorials about Importing sounds and creating audio objects, I used the Search function and looked at every result, but I cannot yet understand why C2 doesn' t let me create an audio object.

I did everything as it' s described in tutorials, but when I open the "Insert new Object" Dialog the only voices in the "Media" section are "Geolocation", "User Media" and "Video"...

    Any idea?

That usually means the Audio object is already part of the project.

Is it visible in the Top right 'Projects' window under 'Object Types'?

If not, can you provide the .capx that you can't add the Audio Object to?

Its Ok I Fixed The Problem.

    That's good to hear

Would it be OK to let us know what the fix was?

This would be useful for thers searching for the same type of error.

    Cheers.

This section is for bugs in the Construct 2 software.

What you have is a Website Issue.

Please post your problem in the correct section HERE.

    Did you read my post?

As I said, you will need Winrar to unpack. Google it and download/install.

Place Gigatron .rar file in 'Plugins' folder.

After that, you can press right mouse on gigatron file and select 'Extract here'.

That should be all you need to do.

    Launch C2 and test.

Whenever I try to preview one of my animations for a character sprite, the animation window is bigger than my screen and doesn't seem to animate correctly--it shows the first frame then goes blank for the rest (it comes back to the first if I have it on loop). Anyone else having this problem?

This is the bug reporting section for Construct 2 and as such, all reports must follow the Bug Reporting Requirements, or they will be automatically closed.

If you are reporting an actual bug, then DO NOT delete the template. The template needs to filled in completely.

If you are just asking a question (which this looks like) then you should post in the 'How Do I' section.

As it is, there is nothing that can be done with this report.

  • > 4ror just delete capx from 3dstarfield folder. Then just copy that folder to Construct 2 plugin folder. That is it

    >

Ok what? I downloaded the capx, and so far I don't know what else to do. Cause all the plug ins I've done so far are not working. I dragged the file to the C2 window, but the installing window never came, what's wrong?

Only .c2addon files can be drag and dropped onto the C2 Layout to install.

Gigatron's plugin is in a .rar archive, which means a program such as Winrar is needed to unpack it.

Extract the folder from inside the .rar to the path "Program Files/Construct2/exporters/html5/plugins" as mentioned by Gigatron.

  • Hi. When I redeemed the license code, a text file was created. I expected a multi-step process where the construct 2 program was downloaded. That did not happen. The only outcome that I can see was the text file creation with the license data. I am SURE this is user error but I don't know what to do. This will probably be the most ignorant question you answer on the forum, so thank you for your time in answering.

The license file just unlocks the full functions of the free version, so you will need to download that first.

Follow the instructions from the manual starting from HERE.

After downloading, follow the 'Install Construct 2' and 'Installing a License' manual entries, and you should be good to go.

  • Guesswork is not helping anyone. This is why it is always best to provide a .capx so we can see what you've done and provide a much quicker and hopefully positive response.

  • There's this old game I played in the early 90's I wonder if anyone remembers/knows the name of...

It was set in an isometric view if I remember correctly. You controlled a character jumping from colored tile to colored tile. These tiles could be made of cloth or something, I don't remember. They would change color and disappear so you would have to jump on another one. That sorta thing. Any ideas?

    Q-Bert?

  • all i see is export project

    that is it

no export as a single file

can you give me the instructions step by step?

You really should read the manual, especially the entry on Saving.

there must still be bugs in collision (at least when objects are using the "path" behavior. during testing, objects frequently stop multiple widths away from objects they have collided with.

You have posted this in the retired Construct Classic section.

    Is this what you intended?

  • Every time I turn directions, the Sprite seems to change positions
