  • HI gang, I have created a "pin board" style site called "apk THRUST"

The goal of this website is to provided a general place for app discovery via advertising streams and various marketing methods that I will put into place at different times throughout the year.

APK Thrust was founded in February of 2015 to support up and coming / low income android developers.

Everyone knows that inbound links to your apps are like gold. The more inbound links you have the more visible your app becomes.

When you create a profile you can message other members and rate apps. I also encourage app review exchanges between members. via private messaging.

Your pin board is a great place to showcase your work! and its super simple to add your apps, just hit the plus button and add your google play app link in the bar... all the info is auto populated for you! and thats it! your app is featured on the front page of the site and listed in your developer profile.

    you can join at http://apkthrust.com

I am "slowly" building a website to usher people into making games and this just seems like a useful page for me.

I also have other useful links, tips and tools for beginners on the site.

    Happy GAMING!

  • your step one is wrong. You have to just add one to your version code making it higher then your previous build xdk will add 200 or 600 to the front of the build depending on whether your using X86 or Arm build making your App version code jump to 60111 build make the xdk just build 20060111 and 6006011 when you could just add one then it will be easier to track you app version

    #1

As you reload you build into the intel xdk open your "build settings tab"

click on the "app version code" text box and change it to "60111"

you are right, I went and re-read the comment and it does say to change it to "11" and when you build your app, you will see this in your log

    Updated "versionCode" to "60111".

I miss read it.. so i will update the tutorial, Thanks.

  • It was instructed for me to change it to that by a member of the intel staff in there forum.

I had tried what you suggested myself before I went looking for answers and it did not work for me.. however this method does work.

so technically its not "wrong" maybe a bit unnecessary.

but thanks for you input none the less.

look at these two images I have uploaded... scirra forum software automatically placed the image size under each image...

  • we dont know exactly what he is doing, how he is saving the image, what program he is using, is it re-sampling or re-sizing the image??? or what format....

I use a image program called (Draw plus) from serif and if you create a image at 50x50 it defaults to 96 dpi, if you change that the the image will automatically upscale or down scale to compensate... I often change it to maintain the resolution while layering images, when I save a image that was created with detail, it does not maintain the image quality when I bring it back into the program... it is blurry and grainy.. however if i save it at 300 dpi it comes back just like it was in the editor. then I have to re-scale the image back to 96 or when I upload it to c2 the image is 5X larger then It was in my editor... ( im not making this up, I have no need too. ) just simply stating what I have experienced my self.

I dont know what my editor does different then yours, but it does it.
