  • There's a game called Geometry Dash and I started to make a game VERY similar to that one. I did it just to learn more and improve my Construct 2 skills but I quite like the results so that's why I asked. I even call it Geometry Trash haha. Wouldn't that be a problem?

  • I saw now that when I choose Chrome the game is previewed in Chromium and not Chrome and maybe that is why it's working. When I choose Default the game is previewed in Chrome and then it doesn't work. It has always worked in Chrome though, weird!

  • I tried to change browser to Internet Explorer and now the sounds are playing. When I changed back to Chrome, the sounds were also playing. When I change to Default (which is Chrome) the sound are not playing though. It's never been a problem before so I don't know why it is now?

  • Hi there!

    I'm working on a game and when I pressed "Run Layout" there were no sounds playing. It's completely mute for some reason and I tried with my other games as well and there are no sounds playing in those game either. I've never experienced this before so I was wondering if maybe I accidentally pressed a button to turn off the sounds or something like that. Is that possible? Is there such button?

    It's very frustrating because "outside" Construct 2, I have no problems with audio not playing.

  • Thank you for your reply! I use Cocoon.io to create the APK and when I first started using their service you couldn't use asm.js because you would only get a black screen. I tried it the other day though and they have fixed that problem so now I can use the asm.js version

    I have a problem when using "Box2D Web" instead of "Box2D asm.js" and I don't know why. It has never happened to me before! When the player is outside the layout, the layout should restart. However, when the player is outside the layout I get this message:

    I have no idea what it means. Do any of you know what this is about?

    This isn't really a "How Do I"-type of question but I didn't know where else to post this.

    Let's say I have a sprite on two places of the layout, one at the beginning and one at the end, and I have this event:

    SpriteX is On-Screen - Play Animation-A

    SpriteX is Off-Screen - Play Animation-B

    If the sprite is On-Screen at the beginning of the layout, will the same sprite at the end of the layout play Animation-A as well?

  • Hi there!

    I was wondering if it's legal to make a game that is clearly a rip-off? For example, a game called Super Marlo where the concept of the game is almost exactly like Super Mario. The levels are not the same but the behaviors of the enemies are the same and you are going down pipes etc. I've seen many games like that and always thought to myself "can they not be sued?"

    Based on what you think the video is not loaded? I don't see you stopping the timer when a video is loaded so it will move to "NotLoad" layout no matter if it's loaded or not.

    Also, note that on event 7 you start loading another video and immediately go to layout "Worlds". Loading a video is asynchronous so before the loading gets completed you switch to "Worlds" layout. Be sure to have conditions there which check if the video is loaded.

    When the video is loaded, the "Play-button" is visible so that's how I know when a video has loaded. It works sometimes, but more often than not it doesn't work.

    The timer is not stopped if it's loaded or not, that's true, but it doesn't really make a difference when it's comes to the problem with the video not loading. Once the video has started to play there haven't been any problem. You don't go to "NotLoad-layout" if the video is playing.

    Yeah, on event 7 I can remove the "Load Video" because it doesn't make a difference if it's there or not because I have a "Load Video" on the start of the layout but I didn't when I first put it there. It's when the user stop the video you go to the layout "Worlds" not if the video stop loading.
