  • I quite like the point n click gameplay here, but I think the "Rocks=death" thing is bad idea... maybe it could be a chasm or lava, but killing the player for touching the wall is not a good game mechanic.

    Also this:

This is not fun for a player to look at. I don't think you need to tell the player everything all at once.

Most players enjoy figuring things out for themselves.

Anyway, sorry for the negatives. I wish you all the best for your game and future games

  • Thanks man. Will consider your suggestions. Just glad to have got a game working

  • Hi guys, just published my first game on Construct 2.

    scirra.com/arcade/action-games/spiker-18901

Its very simple but it works. Simply hold the LMB to move the ball and avoid the spikes. I've been learning Construct 2 through Udemy. Managed to get a bunch of tutorials very cheaply during a sale.

Hopefully be publishing more games in the near future.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Just played the first 3 levels and so far I like it. Will give it more time once my kids are sleeping.

    Good job Grostonton

  • This is an awesome project. I've just heard about Construct 2 today and I' already blown away by whats possible with this engine.

For RRH do you make 3D graphics and then render out sprites or whats your procedure?

  • Hi I'm Stephen Cameron

I have tried Unity and Gamemaker, but I'm really not interested in learning code. I just want to try making some simple games where I can concentrate on the graphics and the way it plays.
