• Indeed I highly recommend Dropbox or a file sharing site with a longer upload time limit. Grab the URL and everything works like a charm. Haven't done this in a while but I do remember it took me a second to find the upload via URL option. I'm usually slow with these things mind you.

Kyatric: Anything other than a blank error page is good How about go the extra mile and make the error page go into detail about what's going on:

"Our upload time limit is set to 2minutes maximum. If your connection isn't fast enough for this then no problem - click HERE to use our handy "upload via URL" option! You can use file sharing sites or Dropbox to generate a link and use it to upload content. Great!"

Quite informative and prevents topics like this

Thanks for the reply and have a good day!

• *Bump* Same thing half a year later. I know it's not a big issue since the Web URL option saves the day, but you guys could handle the error in a graceful manner or add an appropriate suggestion like 'use Web URL if the file is above 10mb' or somesuch.

• Thank you! I've resolved the demo issue - migrated from old Scirra Arcade to the new one. All links to the demo should work just fine now

• Thank you! I think I found that option once, but gone completely braindead since then

Probably a "Update Version" label would help the mentally challenged such as myself

• Is there a way to update the files in assets already in the Scirra Store?

I have some free updates for one of my packs, but I can't seem to find any sort of update/edit feature :X Do I have to upload again?

Can I let users who already bought said pack access the updated version with no additional cost?

Many pardons in case it's a clearly labelled feature and I'm just being blind

• Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
• Great asset!

But your demo link isn't working. Can you check that?

Thanks for letting me know! I have no idea what's going on started a topic in the support forum, we'll see how that goes.

• Hi!

I noticed a demo game I made to showcase my Scirra Store asset is missing from Scirra Arcade suddenly? Or the link is broken or I've messed something up

I'd really like to know what's going on

Demo and asset in question:

• I don't think you can have a patent on game mechanics.

For example:

Games Workshop will sue you into oblivion if you use their character images and names.

But if you made an online version of Mordheim with exactly the same rules and rosters, but renamed to 'Lost City' with different characters (even with the same stats), your own original art etc. then you're 100% in the clear.

Copyrights and patents are a funny thing sometimes.

The real question is: do you think it's ethical to do that.

• I work a lot in photoshop and lately I`ve been finding some cool tools (nice rap right there) that I wanted to show you

This is not impressive even to intermediate PS users. Not dissing you, just putting things in perspective This kind of over-confidence and showing off too early is an internet ridicule magnet. Best to alert you early.

Keep on exploring PS though, you've got the right attitude! It's enough fun to last a lifetime

• Shodan from System Shock 2

I'll drink to that

"Your corpse is useless to me."

Also: any Spehs Mareens from Wh40k games (like Chaos Gate).

• System Shock 2. That thing was insanely good for its time. And the plot twist was jaw-dropping, something never seen before in gaming IIRC.
