  • Hello everyone,

We all know how wonderful and easy to use Construct 2. Because there are lots of stuff to learn for me, i occasionally experiment different things or try to find out how to do "X" by myself. Sometimes i fail sometimes not but the most exciting part of those experiments is discovering different way of usage common things.

So in this topic i want to share some small ideas, game mechanics or out of box usage of common things. Those will not be tutorials or full games so lower your expectations. Let's say this is a brainstorm.

If you find a different way to use given samples feel free to contribute.

You will find .capx files on given Scirra Arcade links if available.

  • korbaach Thank you mate, i keep movng some pixels before stopping but it works.

Do you have any idea why my method is not working?

Esit: didnt see your second suggestion. Only difference between your 2nd sug. and what i did is you use "else" i use value=1

  • Btw i tried enabling/disabling bullet instead of changing speed. It's not working either.

I know there is very simple mistake i made :/

  • Guys i start to feel stupid. I add "touch" and "bullet" behaviors to a sprite. All i want to make it stop/move on each tap action.

I tried to compare "m" variable and assign bullet speed according to m variables value. for example

    m=0 bul.speed=0

    M=1 bul.spped=100

Then i compare value of m and add extra consition "on tap" to change value of m from 0 to 1 or vice versa.

When i run it, bullet object stops on tap gesture without problem. However on next tab its not moving.

I am in a cafe so cant add capx but will try to take photo of small example and add here if i can.

  • Simple yet delicious visuals. Love the game too! Nice job.

Game looks nice however it is not the right place to post in. You should move it to Open Topic or Game Discussions. Forum NAMED "Construct 2 Creations > Works in Progress/Feedback Requests"

  • I don't think (or can't see) there are huge differences between them.

  • Artwork looks delicious. Game itself is well crafted. Without doubt one of the best example of C2 games. Congratulations.

    Edit:

Btw, i still believe with a solid dialogue management system Construct will be the best & easiest adventure game development platform. Finger crossed about C3 (:

  • I will examine the source file. But i should say it's really impressive. There are many possibilities to use this in game. Congratulations.

  • It would be nice to create a photoshop swatch file direct from app but no idea how to do it. May be soon i can find out.

  • You guys think it's useless?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Multiplayer gameplay and a target object which is far to both players. And movement restriction while zooming out.. Hmm, can be nice game like vertical labyrinth.

  • Hi folks,

As a graphics designer sometimes i need quick color palette for my creations. I know there are some good services like Kuler of Adobe and nice apps for mobile but i want something simple and different than others.

So i decide to create one myself with Construct 2. It’s not 100% complete yet (see below for incomplete parts)

Here is some simple tutorial for usage and button functions.

I want some reviews, especially from designers (graphics, web etc.) If sh*t goes wrong just refresh the page <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile"> Buttons shown as NA are not working properly or at all, so try not to use them.

    Incomplete parts:

    • Adding chosen colors to palette
    • Showing HSL values of chosen color
    • Fine tuning colors in palette
    • Converting HSL values to RGB and Hex (Need help)

Very nice job, can you share this project with explanations and photos please?

Arduino (and 3D printers) is something that will change world history (indirectly most probably).
