I'll be honest I only played it briefly.

In the time I played it I only have one complaint/suggestion.

The reason I actually closed it was because at some point I had acquired a power up to my gun that turn my shots into a constant firing laser beam that seemed to be switching fast between red, green, and blue I think.

Anyways that beams constant super fast color switching was really messing with me and I just couldn't keep looking at the game/screen because of it.

My concern is that I think some people with Photosensitive epilepsy might get seizures from watching it though I can't say for sure. I myself am not susceptible to that condition but I still think it might be a good idea to modify that beam/lasers colors and animations.

    Just my 2 cents.

Other than that I found it pretty fun.

Hmm Totally slipped my mind that it might be tricky to have kept it given the way you change the min max jumping and yeah I guess your right about it not being all that difficult to implement one via events anyways.

How has your progress been coming along by the way since your last update? I know your supposed to be quite busy with other things like life and stuff.

  • PixelMonkey Don't know why I only realized this now but was there a reason you decided to completely remove the double jump as an option for the behavior?

  • Here is a link to what I assume one of the posters above meant when he mentioned a sonic engine of sorts

He even mentions wanting to incorporate/create springs eventually. Maybe you could ask him about it.

  • Would be pretty cool if this could be a thing but I guess it seems somewhat complicated to incorporate in a simple way?

Hey just had a question regarding the plugin in general and its future.

Do you plan on moving development of the plugin over to construct 3 in the future or plan to keep it a construct 2 thing? Or maybe even both?

I know its not a very easy question to be answering at this point in time but I guess I was just wondering what your thoughts were on the matter at the present moment.

  • Now I hear many complaints about when exporting to android or ios things not always working correctly etc . . .

Was curious if anyone knew if it's the same for exporting to desktop. Are there generally less problems with nw.js or does it also suffer somewhat like mobile exporting but to a lesser degree?

Been trying to look it up but haven't been able to find many people posting about it as most complaints are generally with the mobile exporting which leads me to believe either that no one is really making games for desktop or that their aren't many problems with exporting to desktop.

    BUY

Reason I dont like subscription is because I'm not really actively using this application all the time I havent made a game yet but plan to and have mostly been messing around with construct 2 so far.

Wouldn't make any sense for me to be subscribed given the way I use it.

    Just my two cents.

    Hi,

Might have found a bug although I think it has more to do with the way the environment was put together.

Basically the box slides down the left purple angled platform and falls on the ground instead of sliding down onto the straight purple line.

The way to make it happen is that when you stand on the flat purple part, then jump onto the angled part but stop touching any controls. If done correctly you'll slide down through and drop to the bottom. Again im not sure if it has anything to do with your behavior or just the platforms themselves the way they are set up.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I can respect that decision. Hadn't really considered those facts. I just know you're probably working hard on this and it's at the very least time consuming. Well if I ever make any kind of game with this behavior I'll be sure to include you in the credits :p Again thanks a lot for your hard work.

I was originally gonna go with the sonic worlds engine to play around with but once I tried C2 and Fusion2.5 it was clear which is easier to use and read. Once I discovered your behavior there was no turning back.

Guess the only con for C2 is no native exporters I guess? I've read mixed things about tje C2 wrapper exporter thing for turning your game into an exe file.

I'll be sure to report any bugs if I find any.

    Thanks again

  • Hi,

Just had a question about this behavior addon. (really awesome work btw)

I know the main purpose is for it to be used to make Sonic FanGames, but if one were to create an original game using this addon and sell it commercially; is that allowed? and under what conditions?

Also, are you planning to create any other type of plug ins to compliment this one?

Maybe my first question would make more sense in the context of that I think you could probably sell this add on (once it's fully finished) on the scirra construct 2 store.
