  • Hello! I was looking for some tutorials about procedural dungeons generation for games like Nuclear Throne. I saw this tutorial construct.net/en/tutorials/procedural-dungeon-generation-708 and it was nice but IMO it was lacking stuff like adding a minimap, spawning items inside of rooms, etc.

    I finally had to "code" it myself, and I think it could be very interesting for many of you guys to see how I did that ( still working on it tho ). Here is an image of what I'm talking about. I added a dynamic minimap, and on that minimap is the player and chests coordinates. the map also spawns ennemies procedurally generated positions.

    Here's an image to give you a little idea! Would you like to have a tutorial on the matter ?

  • Thanks guys! I'll take a look!

  • Ashley said in 2014, when introducing the new Multiplayer Objet;

    -We have plans to add even more features, ranging from persistent logins with player data storage, to geolocation-based matchmaking to help improve the connection quality.

    is it me or the persistent logins with data storage was never a thing?

    imo it makes multi limited if we cannot store things for every player... like in a rpg for instance.

    Thanks guys.

  • English is not my native language.. Did I say something weird?

  • The title says it all, i've yet to find a good tuto on how to make good AI for my type of game.. I don't want clear and premade answers. maybe just ideas or tips. Thanks!

  • Hey there,

    I practice, practice and practice my skills at pixel art but it seems like it never gives results even with full loads of tutorials...

    Am i the only one being stuck in that sad situation... ?

  • Haha, sorry I didn't notice the error, I meant ARPG. What are you skills ?

  • I'm particularly looking for 2D Pixel Artists but if you have other skills, be free to talk about it

  • Hey there !

    I learned a lot about construct and now I am ready to start the project I thought about for a long time.

    I want to build a pixel art roguelike/arog game and I am pretty good with the coding thing but I lack in art knowledge and skills.

    That first full game is a project for fun but it is also serious for the fact that if we can accomplish small things, than bigger will come.

    Who likes that kind of game and would be interested in joining the team ?

  • Thank you everyone !

  • Hey folks! I have a question to which I haven't found an answer yet.

    I have quite a few rough projects and I never am able to finish them because of a detail. Every time i start a game creation project, I always come to the point where I wonder which part of the game I should do first like the sprites, the background, the mechanics, the audio or even the prog...

    As i am a single worker, how should I schedul my work so that I know when I am going to do things. I want to know a good idea of the orders the things should be done like for example;

    1: audio

    2: player art

    3: monsters art

    4: etc

    Thank you so much in advance!
