    I realised my error when reading :

    It's not a Trigger

    So, I just added Trigger once and it was solved!

    I often talk with friends about the event system and I can't remember yet that the event sheet is "a kind of game loop", so as you said It will be executed many times....

    Unfortunately my game (a simple mahjong) has been rejected on CrazyGames, but anyway, I'm happy solving this problem. Thanks again.

    I asked you for a screenshot of the event sheet to see the errors in the use of SDK.

    The screenshot shows the only event sheet calling the ad, as mentionned in my previous answer.

    What I show you is not my work but the behavior of the ad, at least the placeholder of the ad, to show that the layout is changing before the ad has finished.

    The other parts of the SDK are dispatched in other events sheets, and are running well by checking in Chrome DevTools and with the Q&A Tool provided by CrazyGames.

    The problem is that the event "Ad finished" don't seem to be catchable in C3 with the SDK. The ad starts, the layout switches and the background music starts to play over the ad...

    So I wonder how to wait the end of the ad to continue to the main menu.

    Perhaps you could show me a screenshot of how you do on your side, so I can compare with my events and logic ?

    This is the entire event sheet. The ad can be displayed from multiple branches of the game so I created a specific layout for playing the ad on a black screen.

    I tried to play it from a function but the result was the same (not waiting the end of the ad to continue). Perhaps I misunderstand the way it works...

    Anyway, here's a gif showing the behavior. The layout is called after the player leaves the main game/layout. I want the ad to play and after that, come back to the main main "Menu cards" layout. As you can see, the ad is still visible when switching to menu.

    I'm on my way to publish a game on Crazy Games portal, and hope my game would be accepted on this very popular website, but I face a problem with the SDK/code.

    I want to display ad on a specific layout and once the ad finished, go to another layout.

    Here's my event, based on the official docs :

    It seems the await/Wait for previous actions to complete not working as I suppose it would.

    As I go to another layout, perhaps it bypasses the action, in this case, how to deal with this behavior ?

    I can't see a way to catch the "Ad finished" event like in the HTML5 SDK.

    Any ideas ?

    Snakegbr I don't get exactly what you mean, setting variables from the result of the conditions and use it after in another condition ? What would do another function in this case ? (if you could write it in pseudo-algorithm you're welcome but it's ok if you don't ;))

    R0J0hound Thanks for the confirmation and for giving me a quick view of the event system. I used Construct 2 some time ago, I came back to C3 to give it a chance again, or inversly, C3 could give me a chance to achieve my projects in another way :D

    And you're right, the picking part is very specific. The code you see here is for a mahjong game, and I had to discover the Pick top instance action which is very useful in that kind of game !

    I know the developer (or game designer) must stick to the engine if he wants to get the maximum of it, like any other engine. I still find C3 very user-friendly and very quick to setup things, but I have to learn again from it !

    I recently made a remake of Apple Season by Orisinal but haven't pushed it to the forum or Scirra Arcade yet.

    I just face a behavior that seems different from programming languages.

    The Set return value action.

    If I do not create Else branches, the different conditions are evaluated one by one.

    My question : does the Set return value action just set the value that will be returned at the end of the function ? If so, is there a way to get out of the function like a "classic" return ?

    Demo Instead of that washy streched texture, it should be drawn over and over again until the whole object is covered.

    My PC is hanging out a bit while trying the demo. And the window is hanging too (like an infinite loop or something).

  • Wow! Oh Wow! 3D for C2?! Me interest max!! Not sure why, but I can't test out the tinytank demo. I see the instructions but get a blank black screen. Really want to see what this baby is capable of doing!

    Got the same at first load. Try to reload the page and wait again. You can also open the debug bar of your browser to see if there is any JS bug or other.

    By the way, great work QuaziGNRLnose Your approach is really nice (trying to get the maximum of the actual possibilities of the SDK).

    I like the shield functionnality, the archers.

    Cons:

    At a first sight, perhaps the game seems a bit "heavy", the hero moves relativly slow, I mean it seems to lack a bit of nervosity.

    Celtic music in Sparta <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile"> ?

    I would say this game is globally appealling and needs to go further : more dynamic gameplay and much precise objective of the game (scenario ?).
