  • I wasn't aware that is possible :3

    Thanks!

  • Nevermind, I found it myself.

Here's a screenshot for anyone looking for something similar.

  • Any ideas?

  • Greetings

I am currently working on a scoreboard and I would like to find a elegant way to implement a profanity filter. Right now I am using a lot of variables (so that I can change it afterwards).

    It is horrible

If you want, you can buy it and test it. If it does not work like you want, I will refund you. I can't test it myself sorry.

    Aww

Okey I'll consider it and announce you once the game is closer to beta.

  • Ashley thanks, I did check it a while ago but it seems (as with the vast resources that I've read) that I've forgotten most of it.

  • korbaach thank you very much, more for the choose function that I was unaware of

Monumental thanks, I tried that before posting here but for some reason I was blind and could only see LAYER name ...

  • Thanks for the reply. However I was asking something slightly different.

  • I am using an event sheet for fade effects and I need to do different things depending on which layout is playing.

    Any way to do it?

    Thanks!

  • Thank you volkiller730, so I will have to resize them in the image editor to use up less space...

  • Greetings

I would be interested if anybody knows anything regarding the following scenario: my game's approx. download is 5mb, memory use 15.8mb. I have several sprites that are 512x512 and in the game (not in the image editor) i resize them to 64x64, yet there is no difference in the approx download or memory usage.

Shouldn't there be any? Or am I able to decrease them only by resizing the sprites in the image editor and then loose some quality if I make them bigger (from 64x64 to 700x700 for example)?

    Thanks anticipated!

  • Does this work with the Windows 8 export option?

  • Problem Description

The export does not work for WP8 (not the universal one). I export it, manually add the data.js -duh- and when I run it on my device it shows a blank screen. Same with the emulator

    Attach a Capx

    _Uploaded.

    Description of Capx

The FlyAlong template working with the universal windows 8.1 export after manually adding the data.js

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • export the capx as Windows 8 Phone
    • start the sollution in VS2012 for Windows Phone
    • Manually add the data.js (careful not to add a -Copy, you must first remove it from the folder for example to the desktop and add it from the desktop to the sollution)
    • Deploy or debug directly on any emulator
    • Notice the game does not load

    Observed Result

When you export it for WP8 and run it, the screen remains black although the metrics on the top right appear, meaning that the game has been loaded and it's just stuck.

    Expected Result

    The game should start.

    Affected Browsers

    • Chrome: ?
    • FireFox: ?
    • Internet Explorer: ?

    Operating System and Service Pack

    Windows 8.1 Pro

    Construct 2 Version ID

    Release 187 (64-bit)

  • Indeed I was considering putting the layout name at every group. Was hoping for a more elegant solution
