  • I tried to dl the cap but it comes up as a page of scripting instead.

Did you save your project as a single file? - and then make a public link of that file?

  • Fair enough, i would like to say post your cap.x and i'll take a look but i have 0 experience at this point with multi screen support.

Best of luck figuring it out - make sure to check all the relevant posts re the issue (im sure your doing/done that already).

  • That was different! Its almost like mini golf the way you need to control your shots.

When i first loaded it up and was reading your instructions i was getting a bit of information overload - but once i started firing it was very fun.

I really like the way the enemies died, kind of like a combination of exploding/imploding. Nice to watch.

It is hard to give suggestions because its very original - but one thing i would love to see is : on your first couple of shots you get predictive lines to see exactly where the missle will go (It just helps to get used to the way the gravity affects the missle quicker).

Kind of like at the beginning of Puzzle Bobble - youtube.com/watch

No idea how hard it would be to implement though.

  • Haha no worries Jon - and i definately know the feeling.

Ive been consumed for 2 months :)

  • No worries at all Anthony, :)

You handle all of your feedback very well so its really a pleasure to give it.

About the mouse issue - I believe its the chrome bug (not sure if there is anything you can do about it at this point). Im not 100 percent up to date on how it has been progressing though.

I'll be sure to share it with anyone that would be interested!

  • Hey Gallis,

The best thing you can do right now is really break down the behaviour as much as you can. I'll help get you started.

Enemy 1. You can place 'invisible' sprites on the ground that when he hits will turn him and make him walk the other way.

Combine this with a distance check - OR - again place invisible sprites at image points on your player at the appropriate distances - and when the enemy touches it order him to fire.

I know exactly where you are right now - because i was there myself a couple of months ago. The best advice I can give is to scour the HOW DO I forum - Study all the example cap.x's (even if they dont make sense to you right now) and then read the manual. Anything you struggled to understand should make sense at that point.

  • This has come along so well since the last time i played.

Skipping text and swapping item is great.

Really funny scripting - I love how its so light hearted. I dont wanna put spoilers but i have to say that when i hit christian with a rock by accident i really did lol.

The only thing taking away my enjoyment was the chrome movement bug - seemed to happen a lot once i got the slingshot.

    All in all, lovin it.

The ending was great as well, not only with the night effect but the credits scrolling is very well done.

  • Wow, I absolutely love the artwork of the ships, are they placeholder graphics or is that your work? The particle effects were awesome and the gameplay fun (possibly add a bit of breaking to the ships to make them a bit more controllable at high speed).

It reminds me of a dreamcast game i used to love called Armada. That had Co-op aswell and it was the reason i was initially drawn to it.

    Looking forward to further progress!

  • This is a very nice adaption of the ghost tutorial. Shooting and reloading is satisfing, loved using grenades on the boss.

I could easily imagine this being really fun once you have added even a few of those things on your to do list.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hey Marc is the link down? doesnt seem to want to load.

  • Where is the game Ern? I was getting to it, lol.

  • Really like the graphics, the sounds are nice too. Really smooth as well.

I had to read your instructions a few times before i realised what I had to do though. The way the fireworks are positioned above the rocket to begin with was what threw me.

That was some powerful fireworks :)

Haha i was trying to put the fireworks underneith the the ship instead of on to it (which still pushes the thing funnily). You could possibly force the player to attach the rockets to the ship - and if they didnt they wont fire. (I wont edit out my stupidness, sometimes its valuable to see how people misinterpret instructions)

Playing it properly - its pretty fun, well done.

  • :)

Love the name, have to say that the game looked much nicer when you are zoomed out. I would probably keep it at that distance.

    Cool progress.

  • I think what your really after is a pen and pad. Write down all of your thoughts on the go and then when your infront of your comp again churn it out.

If i ever get stuck with how to achieve something I always break it down on paper and it really helps (Im more a visual learner).

  • lol, thats some dedication. I take my hat off to you guys :)
