    It does the same thing, except if you "enhance" it you have no control on where the ads will show..

  • I do not really understand the Enhance-service. If you do nottake the potential 50$ into concideration and just thick of the service itself..

    If you do not add Admob, Chartboost or Appodeal in Construct2, just save the project without any ad system. Then compile the apk, and "enhance" it in the enhance service, then you can choose to enable ads in that enhancement. so then you enhance it with Admob for instance(?)

    What is really the difference? Except that if you implement it yourself in Construct you can choose when to show an ad, but with this enhance-thing the ads can show wherever in the app...?

    And what is the difference in getting paid, do I get paid from Enhance if I implemented Admob via them? Better/worse?

  • Today (after new release) the game never stoppes when I die (and yes, I die a lot!!). When I tried at home, I got ads working, now at work I do not get any, maybe my emplyer has stopped traffic from chartboost or whatever.. or they can't provide ads in sweden/denmark this time of day. I do not know. It is quite strange though, but none the less, the game work as it should now.

    I think the game is quite hard, I am at level 13 or something. But I am quite bad.

    Sometimes you do not really know where you should go in the game, you just try to fall down somewhere, sometimes it's a platform below, sometimes it is spikes and you die.. There is not really any way you can now. So it is not much skills, more luck. But since the number of lives is limitless it doesn't really do anything if you die... Somehow this doesn't really feels like a perfect gameplay? I do not know how to avoid it though.

    Back in the days I remember that the hard games was more of skills and not based on "luck". And you would do anything to prevent the little guy from dying..

    But the mobile industry is a new era.. I know

  • Ok. I had the service 'Google Play Games' turned off (which I always have)

    Now I turned it on, and quit the game and re opened it. Now it says ONLINE. so that's solved.

    But still! Now I played at lever 5. and tried to die so many times as I should get an ad. it never showed. the game just stopped. nothing. I can press the pause button to go to meny, but no ad or re spawn.

    So maybe chartboost or your account or the plugin(?) doesn't work for sweden/europe? but it shouldn't just stop the the game...

    otherwise. really really nice work!

  • Really really great game! Great feeling and running smooth. Samsung galaxy 6S. (newest android version.)

    Some comments:

    I fell down on level 4, dying on the spikes. The fourth time I didn't re-occur. It just stopped. I can click the pause-button to go back to main. otherwise the game is stuck.

    When you kill a snail or whatever they die with a bloodsplash, when the chicken die he dies in a fire explode?

    On the main screen it is a game controller and "OFFLINE"... what is that? (I tested both with wi-fi and normal mobile connection, still says OFFLINE for me)

    In the play store it says it is ads. But I didn't get any ads at all, maybe cause I am in Sweden?

    Also the swedish translation in Google Play store for your game was quite funny

    A full game developed in two hours isn't much of a game... as someone above stated, such a capx can be reproduced by anyone I would guess.

  • If I would develop a program or game to a company and they own the rights for the game after I sold it, then of course I would provide the source code.

    But this case does not really feel like any "professional deal"..? You shall build four games every day? In total 200 games? What is "a game"?

    Only to create some sprites, a background, some sound clips and basic events I would say a day at least.

    Just to start estimating I would say one day

    I've been thinking of implementing Admob into an android game I'm making.

    I guess that 99,9% of all games do not make any money at all.... mine will sure not either.

    This is just thoughts from me. Any one with ideas, please share

    When reading about the banners, some place on the net says that only impressions longer than 30seconds count. So if you have a game with some Layouts (Main screen, Hing score, Settings, Credits and game) will in most case not give any impressions at all if we show a banner on every of those layouts, since a user would not ever stay longer than maybe maximum 10seconds on the single layout..?

    This is from Google Admob manual:

    With this quote it feels like games that are built with many layouts cannot really use banners. (But I know I have played games with short easy levels with banners on all of them, but they would most certainly not have counted as impressions then?)

    So then I guess full screen interstitials is the way to go? Where would you put hem. Between main screen and game level. Or after you die and should go back to main screen/highscore?

    What are your thoughts about this? Really interested in hearing others game designs/ads...

    Wait... I do not exactly understand what this does?

    If you do not need to login (to facebook) when starting the app, but the app can post highscores and have facebook profile data? From which user does it sends the highscores?

    Do you have any tutorial, demo, manual or something?
