  • If it's a Linux server check your folder chmod settings. Set to 777. If Windows server set to (M).

If that doesn't help, I'll think up something else.

  • Seems sounds don't work at all in IE9.

  • I ran across this topic today when looking for a way to speed up my animated intro for my game.

So, is a plugin to insert a video object into a canvas application a feasible possibility?

  • I'll check your project when i get to my home computer, but my advice at the moment is, make them not the same. Doesn't have to be a major difference, a white dot barely visible would make them separate from each other.

  • Where do the balls go if they miss? Like in bowling, do they go in the gutter and ultimately roll to the back?

Maybe add the ones that make it into the hole with the ones that go in the gutter.

    If hole+gutter = 10

    then run your win/lose script

    That's my suggestion.

  • I ran into the same issue last night. Thanks Kyatric.

  • Got it. Thank you all for your assistance. Without all of you and these forums I'd be totally lost or using 10X the necessary amount of events to do simple tasks.

  • Tried both. The character still goes right through the object, even when at 10% opacity.

  • I attempted to make a transparent 9x27 sprite and set its behavior to solid. The character sprite still goes right through it. I even adjusted the layers setting the transparent sprite to layer 3 and the character sprite to layer 2 and vice versa. Neither worked.

Am I correct in assuming it is impossible to create a transparent solid object?

  • Okay. Today I'm feeling quite noobish. Never have done anything with animations before.

How do I set the attached capx so that when the down arrow is pressed the animations of him moving down is processed? (will be similar for moving, up, left and right as well I assume)

  • Well since you guys are wandering off to stereotypical rpgs

I would rather aim at a "Castle Crashers"- like game judging by what Construct 2 currently offers.

I think that's more of an adventure game, not an RPG. Golden-Axe style game.

  • Did this help at all?

  • In reading the article Kyatric posted, I think they would say yes. C2 is built as a modular program, so any future modules, plug-ins, behaviors, etc must be geared to run projects built with previous versions of C2.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Here is a good tutorial for Gimp Here

  • Reading through their documentation, it has IE9 built in. Even if the user only has IE7 on their machines it would still run.
