  • Does Scirra offer refunds?

I was accidentally billed for a renewal subscription just today. Can I please ask for a refund? I bought the 1 year subscription last year and I haven't even used it at all. I didn't know it would charge me annually.

  • Thanks everyone! I think I'm just overthinking it. I thought Dandara and other games I know doesn't suffer the same issue, I might've not just noticed it since they are fast and not really that noticeable.

    Again, thanks! :)

  • Thanks. I do understand the logic and reason behind it, but games like Dandara where you can actually rotate your attack doesn't suffer this issue. Also, this person construct.net/en/forum/construct-2/how-do-i-18/solved-rotated-sprite-appears-133116 somehow fixed the problem but the method used doesn't work on my end.

  • Hi guys, how can we rotate sprites (esp. pixel art sprites) without them being jagged? Someone posted here and got his issue solved by adding transparent edges, tried it but didn't work on my end.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Try Construct 3

  • Move in steps is used, but as far as I know, it's only used to strictly check collisions. Yeah, they look good and fine when not moving, but when they started moving, especially when fast, they started to look kinda blurry or with jagged lines.

  • Hi guys, been using c3 for a while now, but still hasn't found a way to fix blurry sprites.

I'm using a pixel art sprites, pixel rounding is enabled and sampling is set to nearest. Tried almost everything that can be tweaked, but nothing is happening.

So basically what's happening is, sprites are fine but when they are moving (player is running or bullet is moving) they tend to blur.

I really wanted to create a crisp pixel art game. I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance!

  • Since I will be participating in a 1-week Game Jam 🎮, I decided to create a game in a week before that. So here it is:

    Thisplay

Thisplay is a platformer game. You control Onit, a display monitor, as you try to pass multiple quality checks before he will be shipped as a product.

    Featuring:

    - sliding, wall sliding, jumping, double jumping, wall jumping, and dashing

    - 4-color palette

    - 5 themes with 4 levels each

    - time and death score

    Thank you! :)

  • This is a huge help for me. Thank you so much!

  • Thanks guys esp. Von Perkele! I used what you sent me and tweaked it to suit my needs. I understand everything except the Vy formula. Is it okay if you explain it to me or point me to the formula of where you got it? Thank you very much!

Edit: Tagged the wrong guys so I deleted my replies. Still new here and I have no idea how to tag people with spaces in their names Haha.

  • It’s a boss area.

The boss randomly jumps between 3 positions (left, middle and right). Those 3 positions are fixed.

But the throw attack is set to the Player’s last position when the attack triggers.

  • Can anyone help me with these two things that I need for my game? They are almost the same thing, projectile/arc trajectory, but I don't know how to implement it.

    1. An enemy AI which randomly jumps between 3 positions (left, middle, right) before executing an attack.

    2. Enemy attack which throws an object to the Player position.

    Thanks in advance!

  • FIXED. It really is a bug. I fixed it by deleting and recreating the conditions.

  • I'll take that in mind. The thing is, it's working fine before I took a break but after coming back and refreshing my browser, shit happened. I'll try it again tomorrow. Thanks!
