  • Thank you Anonnymitet - that's a good explanation of what the voting is for on Greenlight (I had not considered that 'no' is to stop feed popups). It's fascinating how some people react in public forums....

Promotion is something I am rather amateur at.... I am having to learn even the basics!

    Cheers!

  • This is far superior to the shadow-light system that c2 carries. Unfortunately, with the c3 distraction still under full steam, I doubt this will be implemented as an official plugin.... :/

  • big Infinity - thanks for clarifying! I'm glad I'm not losing my mind (all of it, at least)....

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • jobel, spongehammer - yes, and since the down vote makes no difference to top 100 position for the game, it can only be to pretend to empower people who vote. There was one comment that I deleted for swearing and the troll came back and commented again that he hadn't voted before but now he was certainly voting no. I think most don't realise that it makes no difference.... Unless greenlight have suckered the devs and actually it does matter... Lol.

  • So, I posted the game on NG for a couple of days over the weekend, to get feeedback from a different user-base and also to generate some awareness of the Greenlight page... I took it down earlier today because most people were struggling to figure out the puzzles and/or having problems with the controls (NG iframe...?). Anyway, when (lazily) searching for my own youtube video I found this: Youtube Playthrough1 of Umbra!

    This was unexpected!

  • Thanks - that's good advice!

  • I'll help. I have a little time on my hands while I await voting.... What can I do? (I'm not very tech savvy at scripting...)

  • Thank you , spongehammer, DARTH Crusher and everyone else who took the time - I am very grateful! The weekend frenzy has started to subside now and I think it's the beginning of the long wait....

  • The asm.js joints are broken and I have no idea if/when they will be fixed - bug report. Although the aspiration is to move to asm.js physics, I doub't it'll happen any time soon (my report was made in Aug 15 and it was flagged as a duplicate of a problem identified in Feb 15!).

  • First, I have to say that this plugin has been implemented very well indeed, as has already been mentioned; very efficient. Thank you for doing this!

I have a (dumb) question: is it possible to blend the transition between different animations (I cannot find any options if this is the case...)? Thanks!

  • ^^ There is that!!

    Edit: to add lol

  • justifun - thank you! Then what am I waiting for?!?

  • OK.... I am interested in Spine but I've never used it. In fact, I'm interested in Spine and Creature, but only one of them has a plugin for c2...! I saw on the front page of this thread that this plugin supports mesh deformations. Is this accurate (@c13303, perhaps you could help - does this support all Spine deformation features?). I have used Spriter for over a year, so bones animations are something I love, but Spriter seems to have stalled at implementing mesh deformations and I feel it's time to look to other programs.... Thanks!

  • It's probably a graphics driver bug. Having said that, I don't know what graphics library c2 uses to draw the editor but it seems more prone for finding graphics driver bugs than any other software I have used...

  • Umbra is on Steam Greenlight!!!!!

Please check it out, vote, comment, feedback, enjoy the craziness that is this nerve-racking day for me. I have a flood of mixed feelings because I've finally arrived, probably because I've become used to being on the journey! It's been a labour of love and sometimes really challenging, but I hope you think it's been worth it so far! There's still loads to do, not least incorporate Steam Achievements (I am looking at your genius for this, MadSpy for this!), so we're not there yet by a long way. Thank you for your interest in this experiment....
