  • Hi. I added a webm and mp4 video as intro for my new app which should run once and it runs fine on pc and iOS in Safari. But when I put it on the homescreen to get rid of the adress bar on top the video does not play anymore and I can't continue to the next layout. (on Touch > Goto Layout)

    Does anyone know why it does not work as "app" without safari or some kind of workaround?

  • Hi. I was told the old Plugin will not work anymore and there is a new SDK.

    Will there be a new C2 Plugin anytime soon? Or does anyone know another plugin with similar features (achievements/leaderboards)?

  • the same applies to Wait for Signal and WebStorage Keys. Autocomplete is not working there.

  • Hi. the new autocomplete feature for function names is great but do you think you could add more of them? If you have a AJAX OnCompleted event you need to write the tag and there is no autocomplete for them yet. (maybe other things too, did not test all of them)

  • Hi. Did anyone of you use the Battle.net API, yet? Its from Blizzard to get game related info for WoW, Diablo or Starcraft.

    I tried to get some data via AJAX and I tried Post to URL and Request URL but it always returns an error (with and without JSONP).

    But it seems other developers could use AJAX to get data from the api, why does this not work with Construct 2?

    PS: I tried another way and it returns data if I use the Browser action to start a download to get a .json/.txt file (will be opened in browser as textfile on my iPhone) but I need to save the file without user interaction to read the data so this does not seem to be a possible solution.

  • Any other ideas? I tried some things like :

    Gamepad 0 left analog x axis > 25 | Player rotate 3 degrees toward Angle 0

    -> System Player.Angle is between 330 and 30 degrees | Player Simulate 8Direction pressing Right for all directions but this does not seem to work as solution.

  • Nice, but does anyone know a good solution to keep the player from moving instantly from left to right or up to down if you change directions on the controller? It should rotate towards the pushed direction and not just jump into the direction immediately.

  • Hi. I am looking for experienced users of the multiplayer plugin and want to ask if it is possible to create a "seamless host transition" if the host left. So can the other players/peers join a new host and continue the game where it was without starting over again?

    I want to use players as Hosts instead of a Server run by me so people in the same game region or zone (multiplayer instance) will join another player in the same region (up to a limit like 6 or 8). So you can see other players, play together, make quests and so on but if the host leaves the other players should stay together or at least not disconnect and lose progress. Is it possible to use something like a global "pause" (timescale) for all players when the host left and then continue at the same positions with what they where doing? As far as I know about the multiplayer plugin this could be possible but every player has to send his position when the host left to the new host, same for all enemies and objects to get them synced again and stay at the same position? Is this possible?

  • So Multiplayer is still not supported in the latest IE? I thought it was not working because I used an old IE plugin in AMS. Hope this will be added soon.

  • Does anyone know some kind of workaround for this issue to manually place objects and let them wrap?

    If only a few objects are shown its no problem to place them directly on the layout. But there is no way to make this work if there are more objects than fit on the layout?

    The window is resizable even if you disabled resizeable window
