  Like most things, there's no limit on the number of behaviors (same or different) you can add. What bug is it you get?

  It'd be better to enhance the sine behavior to have better controls than to use this workaround. I'll see if I can do something for the next build.

  I looked up error 126. It means "The specified module could not be found". Are you sure the file existed there?

  If the file exists, my best guess is that being a school computer, it has restricted permissions on what applications can do. Are you logged on as administrator? If you're not, it might be a Construct bug: it's using the Administrator user directory when you're logged in to a different user.

  I don't think we can do a built-in layout music. The runtime has no built-in way to play music, and shouldn't, that's a job for plugins. There are different objects which use different engines to play different music formats. It's only one event in XAudio2, MOD or whatever anyway.

  The OK button already takes them to the download page for DirectX. Another way to avoid this is to use an installer for your game, and have the installer update DirectX.

  The original post sounds like he wanted a behavior, so individual objects could hold a unique timer.

  Tip for SDK developers: use GetLayoutClock() as the timer function (milliseconds since start of layout) since it's high-resolution and timescaling compatible.

  There's two reasons we need the August 2008 version:

  • The runtime depends on D3DX, a library external to DirectX and updated separately. Newer versions have fewer bugs.
  • XAudio2 requires DLLs from an "optional" DirectX update to work, and XAudio2 was only released in 2008.

  However, we might be able to come up with a system which bundles the DLLs inside the final EXE. If we do this, I think we should enable it on by default, so people don't run in to this problem.

  Also if before the first and after the last frames in the filmstrip there were + icons in the next thumbnail, you could really easily add frames to an animation.

  Just a pet peeve of mine, really V-sync makes the display quality a lot better, I don't know why anyone would want to turn it off.

  Oh one more thing - people seem to regularly run in to this no matter what the error message says. I think people have a phobia of the red X and close it before following the instructions which make it work. Have you got any suggestions on how to make this clearer so it doesn't happen again?
