  • I'm somewhat unfamiliar with "instant games".

    Is that where you play a move and come back again later? Give me a bit of a better idea and I might be able to help you out.

  • You'd get much better bang for your buck if you picked up a template like this one.

    scirra.com/store/games-with-source/turn-based-rpg-template-1038

    I haven't done much in that genre, but I played that template, and seems to work really well, for a start. It will still need a HUGE amount of work to make a game, because RPGs tend to have much more work involved than most games (like infinite runners), but if you do make one, make sure to link it on the forums, I'd love to see what you come up with.

  • Hello everyone.

    I have a question of order of events. I have copied as text (because image uploads aren't working on here for me) a sample of the question.

    + System: Else

    ----+ System: Current_Slot > 0

    -----> System: Subtract 1 from Current_Slot

    -----> Function: Call "AddToPicker" ()

    + (no conditions)

    -----> Array_PickNumbers: Clear

    Does the function "AddToPicker" run before the next event? or does it run to the end of the family of events then run the function?

    Thanks guys :)

    Justin

    EDIT: made bold important things

  • Hello antares330,

    right click on 'File' in the Project bar and add an Array. this is only for the paid version.

    Exactly what I needed!

    Thank you!

  • Hey guys,

    I've been going mad trying to figure out this Array Editor in C3.

    I've been looking at these 2.

    https://www.construct.net/make-games/ma ... ray-editor

    https://www.scirra.com/blog/192/new-edi ... onstruct-3

    But I can't figure out where or when to open it. Based on the 2 links, it could seem like it could be any of these 3...

    • In the C3 editor itself (by like right clicking or something)
    • Once you preview the project (and opening with Json or Ajax)
    • Opening a a Json file in your saved version of a game.

    Any chance someone could show me how to open an array and save it to your project once you are done editing? Would really help out a bunch!

    Thanks

  • I see rex has been working hard!

    Can't wait to see how these work in C3

  • Yeah, the direct message is only after you get so much reputation (and badges I think)

    but I'm glad you found someone to help

  • A Level in Powerpoint? I didn't know that was possible.

    What do you need from the C2 community? You need a platformer game? How does it fit in with your PowerPoint game?

  • Email me at Justin <at> JustinFMiller.com so we can talk about this further.

  • "Play out"

    You mean like a little video? or like a boss fight?

  • I've made some videos for C2 in the past.

    What type are you looking to have made? More details would be nice!

  • I have a no graphics prototype up and ready for feedback.

    Speed values and spin/curve values still need heavy adjusting, but I think it's on the right track.

    The forums have been going unavailable most of the day. (off and on) soo... Shoot me an email to have a look at the capx.

  • I'm interested...

    Making a prototype right now. Will let you know once I get something worth showing

  • I can understand place holder or even free graphics...

    But this is Anna from frozen, recolored...

    You can upload this game to the appstore and deal with the headaches yourself, but I really don't think this should be in the store to buy.

    (Also concerns me about the rest of your "legit" game assets)
