    A question for Apple experts please.

    I have finally finished my first game and published it on Android. Now I am moving to iOS.

    I don't have a Mac so I hired one in the cloud ($20 for a month). It is very slow but for uploading the app it was OK.

    I followed the tutorials and generated a certificate and P12 file. I generated a public key and a private key. I generated the provisioning profile. I used Cocoon to build and sign my app and I used the App loader to load it to iTunes and currently awaiting approval.

    The process wasn't easy mainly because I don't understand what the certificate files, P12 and provisioning profiles are, but I followed the instructions and it seems to have finally allowed me to upload the app.

    My questions are

    1- In 15 days my access to the virtual Mac will expire. What do I need to store from the Mac before I lose access to it? Do I need the file (CertificateSigningRequest)? Do I need to keep the keys? If so, how do I get them from the keychain? Do I need the P12 file? Do I need the provisioning profile?

    2- The certificate I got is valid for one year. What happens when it expires? Do I need to upload the app again with a new certificate?

    3- If I don't renew my developer subscription next year, will my app disappear from the store?

    Since, I'm new to IOS like you, but I new some stuff.

    For, Number One just be sure to save P12 some where in your system because you may need it when you renew your Certificate.

    For 2 and 3. According to Andy Obusek form stackoverflow.com, " Your live apps will not be taken down. Nothing will happen to anything that is live in the app store. Once they formally expire, the only thing that will be impacted is your ability to sign code (and thus make new builds and provide updates). Regarding your distribution certificate, once it expires, it simply disappears from the ‘Certificates, Identifier & Profiles’ section of Member Center. If you want to renew it before it expires, revoke the current certificate and you will get a button to request a new one.

    Regarding the provisioning profile, don't worry about it before expiration, just keep using it. It's easy enough to just renew it once it expires. The peace of mind is that nothing will happen to your live app in the store."     Last time I have tried to build the apk in phone gap, but i am not getting normal apk. I got that time debug apk. that's why I am using intel xdk. please suggest something.

    Yes, if you don't use your Google Key Store the apk that will be generated by phonegap is a debug one. So you need to upload your keystore format if you don't have a keystore format.

    Whenever I upload my phone to phone gap it return with a parsing error when I try to run it on my phone.

    I have Signed the APK, and my phone is enabled to allow unknown sources to install APk's.

    I have absolutely no clue with as to what to do.

    Yes, I had this problem. Since Phonegap automatically generate "X86 APK" and most android phones use "ARM APK" it kind of a big problem. Any how, What you need to do is add this line of code to your Config.xml file:

    then zip the files, and re-upload it to phonegap. I hope this solve your problem.

  • I would like to use the Ad mob in my game, I watched some tutorials.

    I am not getting below options under the plugin management in intel xdk.

    Are you testing the app in intel xdk emulator to see if the Ads showing or not if so. Don't, because it won't show up. You need to build the app first, then install the APK file to your device to check if the ADS showing or not, and since Intel xdk stopped the Build Option. You can use either Phonegap or Cocoonjs.

    Since I did not use Cocoonjs. I will tell you what to do after you export the app from C2 as Cordova, but be sure to uncheck the the XDK format. then you go to where you saved your project. Open Config.xml and add this line:

    after that save and close the file. Then zip all files inside that folder. Go to phonegap after you sign up and everything choose upload zip file. wait until the project ready then you will see a Word Build Or Something like that. Click it and wait. Anyhow, after that your apk file will be ready. download and install to you device.

    Oh, one last thing if you had any problem with apk if won't install to your device add this line of code to Config.xml:

  • Hello Tom, Ashley, and All Construct Developers First I would like to thank you for your hard work. Second, I understand that you guys are going to use a Subscription base for C3 and I real understand that because you guys need to live. However, I just have one suggestion for the Subscription base, and I really hope you consider it. My idea is only for Personal License where in C2 we have to buy the Business License if we make $5000 or more and really love this idea. However, in C3 pricing I was so disappointed that everyone must do Subscription. What about if you do the $5000 limit again on C3 after the user make that much money she/he need to go under the Subscription base. I hope you look at idea and consider it, and I would love to hear form everyone what do you think of the idea, but I really need to hear specially form Construct Developers. Cheers, Moh

    I know this tutorial, but my game is already ended and I would have to change almost everything in order to do that. I really don't care about aspect ratio, it isn't really important in my game, this is why I asked this. Any clue?

    Hmmmm.... Did try using scale inner ? if not try it if you don't want to redo the work as in the tutorial

    Not really sure what is going on, but your best choice is try to update your version if it's old or just reinstall the software.

    First for the event ( One item "PlayerHScore" exists ) Set a HighScore Text to a value variable of PlayerHScore. This only if you want to show the highscore while the game on play

    Second Move the whole event of ( PlayerScore > PlayerHScore ) under event of the group GameOver. So highscore update when the player loose.

  • Click on Ctrl+Shift+ESC the Task Manager Window will show up, then go down to Windows Processes. Look for Windows Explorer click on it then click on right Button then chose Restart. I hope this help

  • I don't know if that will help or not but you could create a package for Intel XDK Bulid tap then use Phonegap from there.
