OMG this is an outstanding update for the start of the year! Performance profiling, Array sorting, MIDI?!!
MIDI device support is yet another amazing addition - There's few devices that C3 DOESN'T support!!!
Sorta on topic, but whilst it's fresh on Scirra's mind, and hopefully if it's not a surprisingly difficult request:
Would it be possible to implement parsing ".MIDI" files into JSON (possibly back to a MIDI file). Combined with Binary Data/File Chooser, this would be so powerful! I wouldn't mind what C3 spits out in JSON, mostly I'd grab the timecodes, note names like C#, etc., but it's something I deeply desire in my project.
MIDI file support could be excellent for those that do a similar project to these new MIDI examples, but also want the player to save the data.
It'd fit nicely! The MIDI plugin seems to have groups like "MIDI Access", "MIDI Devices", "MIDI Input"... it could then have "MIDI Data" or "Midi Files" ;)
