The idea of scirra, just like Unity and Unreal already does, is to have many examples of mechanics, so that we can learn how to do it.
People have been playing the same games for the last 40 years. The market is bigger than ever. Now you can apply more time and energy into art, story, and gameplay rather than basic mechanics.
But basic mechanics is how people have been learning :) You learn the mechanics, you use your logic, you create your own code and systems. This is always how it goes.
those who need it will learn, experienced ones are more comfortable with ready-made examples.
