  • I need help!

    Take a look at my project is there an easier way for me to do this jump control and moving?

    I want if your in a jump you cant change direction but if right on a land and both Left and Right keys are pressed you dont move .... yet if you release one key sometimes you run backwards. I believe i'm close to getting rid of it but its just alot of toying around with if,when,or key is released,or key is pressed actions

    2nd thing my attack function - even though i had put collision and overlapping the monster doesn't always get destroyed and you have to attack from a precise distance. Also when you jump and you hold jump you cant attack not sure whats keeping it from that

    3rd thing my crouch attack - the crouch is lined up right on my character but when i attack the animation for it isnt lined up right and i moved the origin many times but seems to always go to the same location

    can i get any pointers? sure if you wanna clean it up for me that would be great, but I'd also like to learn so make a step process of what you did and be very detailed. images are always great

  • ok everything is done , only took me time to figure it out

  • ya it only took me time to figure the things out that i wanted , i got all the jumping and actions in place they way i want, and i also got monsters with the hit boxes. Yet its not satisfying yet when they just disappear so i need to make a kill animation.

    I tried the Flash behavior but i dont see it working. I also would like to make it so it takes multiple collisions for the enemy to dissapear so not sure how to set that up

  • update - Fixed the jump issue

    the only thing is the fall plus direction key needs to be fixed , and i still need help with enemies

  • ok here is my project of what i got so far

    As you can see if you press up and direction key and hold the direction key my character stays in jump. Another issue i am having during the Fall if you press a direction my character will then go into running.

    If you got extra time i'd like some help setting enemy collisions setup. Anyone who has skype and willing to talk and educate me, my ID is gryz34

  • OH i see what you did nvm looking at your capx helpd , i put image points on my arms and i see you didn't do that thats why mine is all goofy

    Yes on #2 ! I was thinking i needed to do that but it didn't pop into my head till this morning, and as for #3 I did fiddle with the origins but then the attack lookd goofy when running in one direction or other. I thought maybe I could use 2 different origins when attacking depending which way the player was facing.

    Another Question i have is that i didn't use the animation arms, during the standing still attacks will i be able to still set a bolean on that part of the sword as a collision for enemies

  • ok i've come a long ways phoenix but i need help on something simple, as i run and slash things left and right.... the arms are in 2 different spots and i need them to be consistent on both directions here is my project so far

  • GOT IT! ok i'm learning Phoenix i dont know if your a guy or girl but hey BIG HUGS! now i gotta figure how to rid the arms when no keys are pressed that should be easy... hopefully

  • ok i got the arms to animate now but it only plays once ughhh, i had the darn name wrong the whole time

  • ok floors are now fixed , umm i need help still ughhh ok ... its coming along let me attach the project so you see where i am

    ok as you can see i got the arms, but when i let go of the key how would i get them to disappear?
