  • Red will never = blue due to the random weight i have added to it, I think i was doing it wrong so I changed it to this but im still getting the same issues

I believe atm the way it should be working is the first placeholder should have no neighbours, as such itll get the value of 0.5 under whichever the random is

Then the next one, being the firsts neighbour, will be the same color, due to the fact they will never not have a different neighbour it should be the same the whole way. Ofc thats not what I want eventually but I'll change the weighted value to 1.5 at some point. Just want to make sure this is working.

Note the UID order is like this, thats also the order this is using to determine what order the placeholders are changed in.

Sorry if thats a bit confusing, heres the file if it helps you help me.

  • alright thanks! ended up going with distance.

Quick question, how do i do the stuff under 7 after 5 and 6s loops have finished?

  • hmm, los seems easier actually.

How can I make it check the total blues in its sight?

  • For distanced i'd need to put it in a for loop right? So i can check how many are next to it?

  • I want to check how many neighbouring tiles are each tile and then add a value depending, this is the current way I'm doing it but I'm certain there is a better way.

  • What would you recommend other then platformer? Tile wouldn't work in this situation.

  • these 2 objects should fit together fine but then when I play

    this happens

They both have platform behaviour and solid behaviour

    ALSO

Even if this did work (which it dont)

this situation also doesnt work as it thinks its inside the purple solids

Ive ran into this issue alot and never found a good solution, some suggested making the collision box a bit smaller but this also doesn't work as when I do it just glitches and teleports all over the place OR if smaller it just looks like they aren't connecting properly.

  • Thank you for you're response.

I do understand how orbit works but I couldn't be bothered setting it up and figured this would give a similar enough result, any idea why it doesn't?

  • For whatever reason the 1st circle is going out of orbit even though it should be moving at 45 degrees relative to the angle towards the 2nd circle. Am i doing something wrong here or is it bugged?

  • I have multiple objects that I want gravity to be affected differently by, 1 group should be pulled to the roof the other should be pulled to the ground.

How would I go about doing this?

  • Running into some issues with right side walls and tiles below being replaced when auto tiling even though I'm not targeting those tiles, any idea how to fix this?
