  • All of that info is in the description of the game on Kongregate. Kevin Macleod mainly.

  • Thanks! Were you able to beat it?

  • Thank you both for trying it out. Also, bilgekaan, this is a single-player game.

  • Hi guys. After a few all-nighters, I completed my first Construct 2 game. I named it "Mr and Mrs Box", and it's a platformer with a twist. Similar to I Wanna Be The Guy, and The Impossible Game, it's REALLY difficult, and requires reaction time, and the ability to predict what's going to happen. The graphics aren't the best, but that's because this wasn't really intended to be a polished game YET. I'm releasing it in this manner to get feedback and to see if this is something people would like to see made into a full-fledged game.

Currently the people who have played the game can't get through it. However apparently a lot of those people have never played games like this before and so I'm really interested in getting some people familiar with the two other games I mentioned above to play the game so I can hear their input. If a lot of people like it, I'll go ahead and all new graphics, as well as more traps and enemies and some support for Kongregate achievements.

Whether you like the game or not, I'd like to know! Go ahead and try the game out here, but like I said, it's very hard. You were warned!

Also, a side note, here is a trailer I made for it too. Kinda whacky:

  • I don't understand it. Works fine on PCs and laptops, but the minute I put it on mobile devices, SOMETHING goes wrong. On one phone, it lagged too much to be playable. On my Sony Xperia Z1, I get the white space issue. And now on an Acer Iconia tablet, everything works but NO SOUND. Honestly I'm about to just say screw mobile games.

  • does anyone know if resolution would cause that?

  • Wait, new question. Even when I view it in the browser, everything works, but I get these random spaces of white toward the bottom of my game. It only shows up on the PHONE browser, when I run the game and even export the game to HMTL5 and run it in a computer browser the white space isn't there. Anyone know what causes white space to randomly appear?

  • I just tried to export my game to Android. It opens fine, although pretty small, when I open the game in the phones browser, but after exporting and going through all the Intel XDK stuff, I installed and ran the game and all I get is a white screen. No graphics, sound, nothing. What does that mean?

  • Ok, after several hours of racking my brain, I have figured out the closest thing to a Browser Quest size window: 1100 by 600. Putting this here in case I ever lose my notes for future reference or for anyone else who may need it.

  • Hi guys, I'm new to Construct 2.

I find everything in this program straightforward... except for sizing sprites and the actual window everything plays in. Can someone just tell me how you would size your layout, window, and the sprite size you would use for a small platformer? I'm used to drawing in 32x32, I want sprites to be small like that. I don't really know if I'm explaining it right... just imagine Starbound, in a browser, except with the sprites being 32x32. How would you do that? I've been messing around all morning, resizing the layout, the window, like I can't figure out how to get this to look right. Every time I run the game, the sprites are too tiny or something, and it doesn't come out clear like Browser Quest.
