• I like the idea. But atm it seems like you can just balance the box on the other box and move it around avoiding the bullets instead of bouncing it around. Maybe it isn't possible but it looks like it and that would ruin the whole gameplay.

But it is hard to judge gameplay by watching a video. I would suggest that you put a little demo here so we can try it out and give you real feedback.

  • Personal project:

Very nice 3D-models This reminds me of a game we played during math lessons when I was in middle school called cheops pyramid where you walked around solving math problems.

Nice work and good luck with the project

  • This Engine is starting to get on my nerves

Starting to feel like I've waisted my money, spent over 2000 Dollars and my results are sad

I restarted my game over about 9 times because of some features not working correctly with others or simple problems like [[moving player to new layout plus keeping variables]] to be EXTREMELY hard to do and taking Hrs to figure out.

If you want to create a game where you jump and go straight then this is the Engine for you but other then that I recommend you look else where.

Been using this program for a month or 2 and in the beginning this engine was very easy to use but now that I advanced it feels like this gaming engine has gotten 10 times harder to use. Here are my results

Ill try back in about a year or 2 hopefully the engine is better optimized but for now Ima go buy and try a few other engines. Im use to using the Unreal Engine but My budget is only around 20,000 so I decided to make a 2d MMO game using a easy to use engine but there far to many problems for the type of project Im creating.

First of all. What have you spent 2000$ on? Seems strange when a personal licence is 99$ and a business licence is only 330$

Secondly I have a hard time understanding how someone who is used to working in unreal engine which is far more complicated would have a hard time understanding global variables in C2. And you say that the player doesn't show up on the new layout. Do you even have a spawn player event in the new layout you're switching to?

C2 might have its flaws but in this case it is clear that you haven't understood how the engine works and haven't read the manual. So start with that and then when you have real problems come back here so we can help you out. I suggest you start here: https://www.scirra.com/manual/83/variables

And unreal engine is free and only takes 5% cut from successful games. So it wouldn't stop someone like you with a 20 000$ budget.

But anyway we are here to help and if you are willing to learn we'll happily help you out

  • I'm doing a movie app in C2, reads any local folder with films, and brings info and visuals from a bunch of APIs

Creative way of using C2. Keep it up, looks great!

  • Anonnymitet Can you please share the link again?

I have emptied my example folder on dropbox so all my old examples are lost I'm afraid

    What about early access then?

Kinda confusing on Valve's end if you ask me.

Thanks for your time, I think I got everything now.

If your game is near completion then I strongly advice you to submit it to greenlight as soon as possible. Just make sure that the greenlight page and trailer is as good as possible. The trailer is super important as most people don't even look at your text on the page before hitting the yes/no button

The greenlight process can take weeks/months/years or worst case never so it's better to submit it early. When the game is greenlit you don't have to worry. Because there is no pressure to release it. You can keep working on it until you feel it's ready for release.

And thanks to MadSpy we'll soon have a fully functional plugin that works great with Steam. He has added so much great features to the plugin which are not included in the official greenworks plugin that doesn't work atm. So I really hope people understand how much work went into this plugin that finally gives us a chance to publish our games on Steam without any problems

  • Yes I can confirm that the steam plugin by MadSpy works great with R227 and NW14 with overlay, leaderboard and everything working on Steam. He has truly done an amazing job with this one!

  • Are you on Win10? Because win10 has a common problem with freezing up randomly while playing games and you then have to power off and reboot the computer again. Seems to happen when you hit many inputs at the same time especially while playing local multiplayer.

This has become a real problem on my game and I can only hope that Microsofts solves the issue soon as people don't understand that it is windows10 fault and not the games fault.

Haven't found any working solution yet but there are tons of threads about this random freezing problem all over the internet and on many game forums on Steam.

  • Fantastic idea. Really like the the whole design of the site and the design system. Congratulations and good luck with the business!

  • Awesome work as always! 😃

  • I made a Trump Simulator where you protect the "Great Great Wall". But I changed the name to President Simulator instead and made a fictional president instead of Trump. He gets enough attention anyway Not as deep as your idea but its something x)

Anyway good luck with the project

  • saf I understand that. I haven't used silent mode recently but I put all my music in the sound folder when working on mobile games instead of the music folder so the game loads all sounds and everything plays when it should without delays.

This is OK as long as you have small loops but if you have really big soundtracks then they should be in the music folder to avoid long loading times. But for small sized music files the sound folder have worked much better than it does when I put them in the music folder.
