  • Oh, and if you want to save the game state without buttons, better not use every tick, use every second, or add a save action to all conditions that changing the game state.

  • hope this works

Okay, i can't see any problem, everythings save and load.

Better make buttons on screen for saving and loading, if you had problems with keyboard actions.

  • Upload an example capx where save and load doesn't work, i will fix it for you.

  • Hiya,

Do I need to use a node-webkit behavior in order to export to node-webkit successfully?

I exported to node-webkit the other day. Everything worked great on windows, but the Mac option wouldn't open. Granted, I was trying to open it on a windows machine. Could that be the problem?

    Two separate questions here:

-Do I need a node-webkit behavior to export successfully using node-webkit?

-Do I need to have a mac machine in order to test the mac version? (assuming the answer to this is yes, but trying to consolidate questions.)

    Thanks

You don't need a behavior to export, and you need a mac or a hackintosh to test osx version. You need behavior only if you want some behavior things, like clipboard, file system, and some other things.

  • Hi friends,

My problem is simple but I can't get rid of it. I stack a pile of boxes (perfectly square) that are in "bounding box" collision mode. I stack them one above another and they start like... shaking a little bit. If I play with density all I get is more of that effect. Is it impossible to stack them perfectly?

Also, there's 1 pixel (transparent) between the boxes but I double-checked the sprite and the pixel line is not there. Any ideas?

    Thank you as always.

Read this thread, maybe it's the same problem.

  • Thanks for your help Sisyphus,

When you create a new project in XDK using "Start with a Blank Project" it creates a www folder in which you were supposed to export your project (android) from construct into.

    Aparently this doesn't work.

I've just managed to export a blank project using the way you said.

Anyway I still am not able to make export my game, not sure why yet. But knowing that I can get a blank one to work I can dig into it until I find the issue.

    Thanks for your help.

And after reinstall, you still getting the error?

  • Might be a problem with my XDK, whenever I create a new project the "www" folder isn't been created, it only creates a folder caleld "ProjectName" and on that folder 3 files are created: ProjectName.xdk , ProjectName.xdke and index.html.

I'm re installing the XDK, thanks for helping

It's not the problem with xdk. I don't even know what exactly www folder are you talking about, i just export project as android and open it in this xdk window, and build then.

  • Man! I discovered what I was doing wrong! First I was using X=player.X+ViewportLeft, making the enemies spawn on screen AND in the Right side, after I changed it to X=player.X-ViewportLeft, making the enemies spawn in the left side BUT alot far in the Layout...

The thing is, I just need to use X=ViewportLeft, I don't need to use the player.X, that's why it was spawn far in the Layout But now I got it fixed, Thanks man, U helped me to see that mistake!

    Glad to help

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I've already tried viewpoRight and Left, but the Left one don't seem to work correctly, spawning the enemies at a fixed point only...

I've upload the capx above, it spawns the sprite outside the screen, just move the blue square right then tap it and see, red square spawns outside the left viewport. Viewport left works correctly.

  • Upload to latest stable build, and then read the manual, it's impossible to desribe how to do it in the forum topic, because the world generation like minecraft is a big big deal.

  • Old info, just export the project from c2 to desktop or where you want, open xdk, open start a new project dialog, choose import an existing html5 project, browse the way to your project on desktop or somewhere, and export.

Dunno about the error, read the xdk topic above.

  • Like in the title, I want more zoom on a sprite with Scroll To behaviour?

Try change the LayoutScale or LayerScale("Layer"). Read the c2 manual to learn more about that functions.
